A word of advice to Italian fans: Don't start acting like you won the thing already. That Spanish team can crush you and you know it.
Who the hell is saying anything? God forbid we celebrate a victory over a team we haven't beaten in nearly 30 ********ing years! Go away.

I'm not an Azzurri fan but even with a know-nothing coach they have as good a chance as anyone now.

Hey were just happy to have the opportunity to be playing Spain on Sunday, don't count the Azzurri out just yet. I remember a few Spanish teams that have looked great in Group play only to bow out during the knock out stage.

I don't think I've seen any posts by Italians (after the French win) where they are being overconfident, if anything you see that from Dutch & Romania fans. Italian fans still seem underconfident and rightly so - we have much improvement to do.
The Spanish team can crush us? Hmm... that's an interesting point. I'll believe it when I see it. Spain had a much easier group than ours. If Spain was swaped with any team in our group, I would bet the the team swamped would move on and Spain would surely have had more difficulty in Group C.
So my word of advice for you: is not let wins over Russia and Sweden go to your head.

9 points, 9 goals, only 1 against, how many of you expected that 9 days ago?
I am not among them, Holland is absolutely the best team on the tournament
A last minute goal on Sweden and that spells you've won the whole thing, right? Great, now we have to deal with the cocky Spaniards. lol :D

It really is funny. I just texted a Spanish friend of mine "See you on Sunday" to which he replayed "you guys are f**ked." Like seriously, where is all the cockiness of the Spanish coming from? Certainly not from history. It must be from their wins vs. Russia and Sweden

We'll see what the NT thinks of us with the squad they play tomorrow. If they knew what was good for them, they should use Greece as a tune up because the Greeks know defense. Barring Holland and Croatia, a 2nd string can slow down momentum.

Well, the Spain - Italy match can go either way, Italy has not performed too well in the group stage and so far Spain has got a 4-1 victory over a bunch of amateurs and a small victory of Sweden which is pretty weak too, and that would have been a draw if Spain didn't get extremely lucky in the extra time.

Spain should have had a clear penalty before halftime, everyone saw that... so they should have been awarded a penalty, obvious to all. The Swede even got a payback in the second half and the Spanish player was carded.
Obviously, the Dutch team look much better than anyone else, for all we know we may see a Germany/Holland final again.

I don't see how getting a penalty or not makes a team better...

But you mentioned how Spain had to win over Sweden in the 90th, 92nd minute or whatever it was and saying they were fortunate a bit to do that when it may well have been 2-1 with that penalty awarded at halftime.
But it's no big deal. Holland has played very attractive soccer to watch, absolute fireworks.

They won the FIFA Fairplay goodsportsmanship award along with Brazil, you don't see the Spanish spitting in the face of their opponents, trashtalking the captain of the other team, elbows to the face a la Materazzi or Rossi, diving or feigning injury.:)
