Catenaccio is ancient history and England has the closest thing there is to a catenaccio-style Italian coach.

You had a chance even with vd Sar playing (or any of the other A-listers)
But dont be fooled into thinking Stek is a 2nd rate keeper, he's been known to make spectacular saves.
Perhaps you may be unfortunate enough to find out tonight :p
You do realize I'm from Holland right? Stekelenburg is a good keeper but nowhere near as good as Van der Sar. If they would put Stekelenburg and Timmer in the goal together they would stop less balls than Van der Sar on his own. :P

Nickless: the game could go either way. and if we are not capable of beating a dutch B squad, then we don't deserve to qualify and i'll be the first to congratulate France or Italy. may the best team win. we'll talk after the game. i'm off to the pub now :D the whole Bucharest will be partying tonight if we qualify and so will I. :)

Anyone can get a draw by playing 10 behind the ball.
It was only 7 behind the ball...

You're obviously a Feyenoorder :p :p :p

Looks like choice 1 is the answer, can't even start VanDerSar  Look for the Dutch to hand Rom a penalty if they can't score on their own

Nope, I don't really support a team but of the 3(well 4 the past few years) big ones Feyenoord is the one I support the least.

Obviously Stek is not as good as Sar, but I dont think he's as bad as you say ;)

He is notorious for letting the ball go when stopping it.
Just like Cech did 2 days ago.

no dutch favors, obviously. way too good of a team for that.
Italians, on the other hand, continue to do what they do best: seek PK's.

What do you suggest shoudl happen when a player does what Abidal did????? I really want to hear your suggestions.
It's a well-deserved PK. France blew it, end it.

9 points, 9 goals, only 1 against, how many of you expected that 9 days ago?

It's a clear conspiracy. Holland obviously thought Romania were stronger than Italy so they blatantly cheated and beat them in the last match, to make sure a weak Italy would go through at the expense of a deserving Romania side. Bastards!

Ha ha. :D
The Dutch did the same tonight what the Czechs did in 2004. Well, who took profit of that Czech favour...?
What I mean, is that Holland favoured the "fair play" (despite the fact that Italy could take revenge for the group defeat in a possible semi final) because they surely remember the help they once received from the Czechs!
Nearby, Donadoni & Van Basten are good friends...

what cracks me up is the way that Toni contorts his back as if Abidal broke Toni's spine.
I'm just glad I don't have to hear anymore about the Euro2008 conspiracy theory (even before it allegedly happened) for the rest of my life.

Whatever cracks you up is fine. But either way, it is hard to argue that is not a deserved red-card and a PK. Done and done.

A word of advice to Italian fans: Don't start acting like you won the thing already. That Spanish team can crush you and you know it.
