Definitely Roger Guerreiro, knows how to rape opposing oppositions defenses, and is so far on UEFAs EURO starting XI

If you say Most valuable player then I'd think about who has done the most in the time he played by scoring almost every chance he had
Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He's amazing, you just give the ball to his feet or head and that's a goal. Shame that he can't play more...

Do you even watch football or you just say his name because he is semi-Polish? Grow up.

this is easy, zlatan hands down. He IS team sweden, after he went out against spain sweden fell apart, and he has scored 2 goals in 100 minutes of play.

Nah...for Germany its been Lahm and Podolski.
Of course Podolski's opportunistic goals have been huge but I haven't seen him do much else. And Lahm for me has defended poorly in both games, although he is impressive when going forward.
Metzelder and Mertesacker on the other hand shut down the Croatian attack for 90 minutes. One of the goals was lucky and the other was a a result of mistakes by Jansen and Lahm.

Nihat and Tuncay were willing Turkey to that victory today. I thought that was quite impressive.

AWE MAN, WTF??? Are you going to ruin this thread too with your Guerreiro man crush??
C'mon - the guy is mediocre at best!!
Anyway, MVP for Germany. I would say Podolski. 3 goals in 2 games an a lot of hustle in the midfield. Lahm has done ok going forward but he let Croatia get a lot of passes of his end.

Most of that was Fritz's fault. He wasn't helping Lahm at all. Fritz sucks. He would be tolerable if he spent just half the time he uses to put gel in his hair to defend a bit.

Spain : Villa, Torres
It would rather be Villa and Xavi-Senna for Spain.
It's interesting to see that while Torres is considered very high out of Spain for his season at Liverpool, here he hasn't reached that status yet. Besides, he never does that well with the national team.
However, Xavi has been fantastic, to me the best play maker in the tournamnt, and Senna the best defensive midfielder.

Senna has been solid ... but IMO sometimes Xavi and Iniesta get too bogged down into these long intricate passing sequences that don't have any results ... You saw that against an organized Sweden defense and you'll see it even more if they play Romania. This is the same problem that Barcelona was having late in the season.
Sometimes you need to be direct and find your forward with one or two passes instead of 10.

As EURO 2008 is almost finished it is now time to add your MVP of the tournament. My personal top 3:
1. Podolski (Germany)
2. Marcos Senna (Spain)
3. Pavlyuchenko (Russia)
Furthermore I was impressed by Daniel Guiza (Spain), Arshavin (Russia), Semi (Turkeye), Fabregas (Spain). But they didn't play all the games.
PREDICTION WINNER >> SPAIN

The MVP has to at least show up for all the games, and as well as Arshavin played in the quarterfinals, he was a no show when it counted, kind of like Sneijder. So for me, Senna has kept a weaker back four from being too exposed and David Silva who ran the Russians right off the pitch.

Casillas and Silva.
How has Casillas been our MVP? Penalties versus Italy?
Don't get me wrong, he has been great when called upon but he hasn't had a lot of work to do.

True. I'd still say Buffon and Boruc had better tournaments than Casillas. However, it's not Casillas's fault as he hasn't been relied upon to make many saves.

There really is no one outstanding player this tournament.
