If we got the Czechs in the quarters, this Polish match would be a good preparation game because both teams have similar systems and style.
But as we got Turkey, the match against Poland is practically without worth for us, it has just to be done.
I think the players are already mentally into the Turkey match on Friday.

We definitely won't impress tomorrow but I don't think we'll lose either. This is a solid team, not very creative though. Rakitić will probably have a lot of freedom and I believe he'll give a good performance.
Rakitic was the one player i was really worried about when i saw the lineup for Croatia that was posted. i see what that guy does week in, week out at Schalke and i am impressed with the guy. the only thing i think might affect how effective Rakitic might be for you guys is the teams chemistry of the guys that are put out there with him. he'd be able to shine a bit more if that group played a bit more together, but that make-shift squad will still be damn tough for us none the less :( with that said, hopefully we start Roger again and actually let him play for the full 90 minutes. he has been surprisingly good for us, much better than expected. he looks a lot better out there for the national team than he does in league play for Legia

But only if we lose to Austria...;)
nope... regardless... its about pride now
the guys on the Poland NT worked so hard in qualifying to get here for the 1st time EVER... they have drawn even and beaten Portugal who have been the class of the Euro so far. to get this far without a victory somewhere would be disappointment. ever since World Cup 2006 there have been leaps and bounds of improvement in this side... for them to get this far and show almost nothing, it is unfathomable. if we had beaten Austria there would be a lot more on the line in this match, but now all we have left to earn is pride.

Poland also has to learn from the Turkey - Czech game...Even if you are winning 1-0 or 2-0 don't sitback, keep on fighting til the end, since Leo is the coach he totally innovated the Polish style of play, they are passing more. The years before Poland would just kick long balls and hopefully something would happen. I believe in Leo:)

Another disappointing tourney for Poland so far. They qualified so well and topped Portugal in a tough group.
Yet something is lacking for the 'real' games'. Seems they have some kind of inferiority complex or just can't handle the pressure for the group stage.
Hopefully, Leo can light a fire in their arses and they play with no fear and live up to their talent. And who knows, maybe Austria can do us a huge favour and win 1-0 and we can win by 2 or more. Pipe dream maybe, but its all we got

It wasn't a surprise to see Czech Republic fold in the second half and I think Turkey will have a chance in the next round.
Likewise, if Austria could defeat Germany, I don't care for that Cinderella story to be disturbed, I think Austria would truly earn the right to go to the second round and like the Czechs, this time around at least, Poland would probably not do much in the quarterfinals.
There's always next time.

the croatia manager already said he isn't using any players with yellows because it would be foolish for them to get a 2nd and be suspended for the quarterfinal against Turker
so those guys aren't even in the mix

Isn't Poland supposed to attack and Croatia not care?
Croatia attacking in waves, winning multiple corners and free kicks, and noe very dangerous 1vkeeper situation.
Poland is flapping all over the pitch.
Face it - Poland is worse than Croatian reserves.
Just saw a polish player try to cross the ball into the box... emphasis on the TRY, as he lobbed the ball into the stratosphere.
Note that he wasn't even pressured.
I thought Austria, with its heavy touch and lack of ball control was the worst team in the tourney.
I don't think that anymore.

Boruc is world class, and his price just increased 10 times.
Real Madrid and Barcelona queing up to his agent as I type this.
The rest of the polish team is made up of USL (American 2nd div) type players, who play this game part time. :D
