F#ck yeah. Klinsi had a way of taking the pressure off the guys. They played a lot looser under Klinsi.
Low has them playing like they have sticks up their asses.
If I'm Scolari, I'm not worried about a lot going into this quarterfinal.

Ronaldo won't know what's hit him when he has to face Lahm.

You said it earlier. I can't see THIS Germany team doing that.

Germany totally unconvincing. This Germany can't go far like this :(

A lot of teams struggle through the group stage then step it up in the knockouts. I think Germany will do just that.

Germany will win as usual in the knockout stages.
Like I said before ....when it is time to play ...THEY will play.

What a fantasticsh game that was!!!! The Germans look like world beaters on that performance.
I thought it was a HORRIBLE performance by Germany and I didn't even expect a win.
Passing accurency was dreadful, they were slow, had no ideas and looked totally self-conscious except for Lahm.
Of course anything can happen but the Portugal match will be their last, I'm sure of it.

This time it will be different. The teams that look good in the Group stages will continue to deliver in the next phase. Thus expect a Portugal v Croatia and Nederland v Spain semi-final.

Donīt always count on the favorites men.
This match is football and anything can happen.
Sure the teams you expect to win are favorites,
but this is a k.o. round and matches are decides
by margins and nerves.

Ahh...close but no cigar.
Austria, despite being a fairly weak squad, almost pulled it off tonight! Had the referee given the blatant penalty in the first half against Germany, perhaps we would be talking of a shocking defeat for the Mannschaft tonight.
Anyway, the Germans were horrible tonight: as mediocre as a side can be. Let's see what they can do on Thursday. I'm expecting Portugal to win and I just hope our lads don't get overconfident after seeing the German "display" of football tonight.

Count on favourites. Before the tournament started Nederland and Croatia weren't considered favourites - Spain were expected once again not to deliver (which may still happen). The only favourites are the Portugese.

I hope so, but i judge Scolari as a clever man.
Portugal the favorite, but i want to see another German team
against them: One to step the Ronaldos and Decos on their feet
and use their chances consequently. Itīs not likely,
but the match must first be played.

too bad Lahm wil be the only active german player on the field and Ronaldo will just pass over to Deco or Simao or Pepe
