Who is your player of the group?
Niko Kovac.
Sure he is not the "best" player and I dont like his "acting" on the field but he is very valuable to his team and the heart and brain of the croatians.
(Of course I am a bit biased in that case because Kovac plays for RB Salzburg. :p )

Tough call. Modric and Kovac have been solid in mid.
Podolski has his goals on an otherwise poor team so far.

Modric was very good against Germany but not very impactful against Austria. N. Kovac on the other hand was good in both games. I think he has been Croatia's best player.
From Germany, its probably Lahm who was consistent in both games or Podolski simply because of his three goals and his first match performance.
Austria's Proedl also impressed me tremendously, only 20 but he's strong and has good feet.

Luka Modric without who Croatia is something else...He was one of the leading stars of the group even before EURO started...definately my pick, I think he was solid against Austria also although people say he wasn't. He did very well when he had the ball...

Modric has not dominated, other than the last 20 minutes or so against Germany, but he is the one who makes Croatia work. Always available for a pass and covering back when needed.
Podolski has scored goals but he was terrible at left mid against Croatia.
I would say Boruc is comfortably the best individual performer so far.

Modric has not dominated
He made Ballack look like shit. Enough for me.

for me ivica olic..not the most gifted player on the ball but his speed and hustle for me has really stood out..modric had a very good game against the germans but was average against the austrians..the germans really had a difficult time getting the ball from him..he really controlled the game in the last 10 minutes and if not for the bullshit foul he probably would have scored..the midfield of modric rakitic and krnajcar really showed there class on the ball against germany..they are all under 25 too..:D

Based on what
Based on raping the German and Austrian defense and making them look like amateurs. Best player to grace a Polish shirt in years

Lahm would probably get my pick.
I agree with Kumars. The only guy who ran his ass off and was perfect in defense both games. It's sad at times seeing one player give everything when the team plays 80%.. Poland have the keeper, Austria have noone and Croatia didn't have a single stand out for both matches in my opinion.
Pick Lahm.

Lahm has been most consistent and played rather well. I pick Lahm also. Maybe a poll should be added to this thread.
