As my name may imply I may be a bit bias but if Turkey makes it through I'd have to give the nod to Volkan. He's putting on a clinic back there.

Not for nothing but how can defender for a team that's been scored on 3 times in 2 games be considered for a player of the group?:confused:

He's the keeper and just as the comment above this says, he's kept us in both games, at least score wise . Look at his save against Ronaldo's freekick and a whole host of others.

Ok... but how's that any different than Petr Cech? He's made a shit-load of saves to keep Czech Republic in it.

Volkan's done well but Arda and Nihat have had the biggest impact for Turkey.
But throughout the games that have been played Deco has been sublime and Pepe has been great except for that Swiss goal yesterday but that was more of a great Swiss play then a Pepe error.
Tough, but I would give the nod to Deco.

Well Volkan didn't quite put his best foot forward in sunday's game with the red card and all but man Nihat tore it up. Now I just don't know who to give the 'Player of the group' award to.
I'm not a big fan of Pepe and I've heard his name mentioned a couple times. I don't particularly like the concept of 'naturalized' players.
