Found this. Not sure I agree with everything, but pretty interesting none the less.

I think the odds of that being written by a longtime BS poster are rather high.
Danny Szetela (21), Brescia (Italy) is young and talented and inconsistent. Rumor is that his name is actually pronounced San-ti-no Quar-an-ta. But that’s unconfirmed at this point.
...the hell?

The USMNT lives and dies with whom Bradley calls into the squad and if he continues to employ the box 4-4-2.

that guys an idiot beas never played lb for the fire. and has never lined up as a forward. he should do some research before he writes and tries to act like he knows a like about soccer.

That is called "a writer's opinion" and not necessarily one that we should give any credence to. Unless, two years from now he's totally MIA. (Then we could all say this guy was right...)

If I remember right, Beasley played primarily as a wing forward for PSV in a 4-3-3.

It's an ok piece. By barely mentioning Rogers, he sells short a player who is likely to be a key cog in 2010. Rogers has the talent to supplant Dempsey at right mid.
I also think the odds are fairly high that a young player who is barely on the radar now will make a big push for a place on the team by 2010. We just don't know who that player is. Just to toss out a couple names, two players in the current U20 pool that have a lot of upside are Sheanon Williams (right back) and Felix Garcia (forward). They're relatively big kids and have plenty of skill and could move up very rapidly.

A nice piece, but clearly not a very professional job. I agreed with most and it was a nice read, but a professional isn't going to put the summary of a player "I haven't seen him play" or "maybe he'll surprise me, but i'd be surprised if ...." Just could use some minor polishing up. He/She makes some nice points though.

Nah, this guy/girl seems to be about as informed as a nominal BS poster (I'm not saying he's not much more reasoned or level-headed, but BS posters usually can recognize Roger's importance, have watched Klejstan and Drew Moor, know Jozy is 18 and not 19, would be well reasoned enough to give Cooper a chance before saying he is not international quality while Josh Wolff at one point was, and know that the empty bucket had clear issues in other games when Bradley employed it and he had a full roster at hand)

Beas played some left wing in a 3-5-2 w/ the Fire,he played almost as a back at times, especially when they were under pressure..

That's what the 3-5-2 is about. The difference between 3-5-2 and 5-3-2 is pretty much semantic. That said, a 352/532 winger/wing back isn't exactly the same role as the more stay-at-home 442 fullback which is more definitely a defender.
Personally, I think Beasley's defensive workrate is admirable, but I don't think of him as a marking defender, but rather a hardworking midfielder with speed who can get back to chase and pressure.

352 can be played a couple different ways. Some sides have the dmid cover deeper into that corner and leave the wing higher. But you're right that the wing as outside back role is more typical.
I do think Beasley at his best in a 442 will try hard to not leave his FB on an island.

True, but that's more of a tweak than a major difference in systems.
And I agree. He's long been the best in the US in that regard, IMO. I see it actually as one of his best attributes as a player. My point simply is that doesn't make Beasley a real left fullback.

It is, but it's also completely innaccruate, unless Szetela fathered a child at 18, and proceeded to stop working out.

Not that that ever stopped us from playing Convey or Lewis there.
Just sayin'.
