Erm... not really... not when some clairvoyant bugger comes on BS and gives you the score a couple of hours before the actual match begins!

LOL...there is NO WAY I could have predicted the CRO-TUR or NED-RUS games...wow. I think it'll be 2-1 for Italy tomorrow though! Spain's run is finished and I believe the Italians are going to finally step it up.

Me too, even though Tur and Rus had good chances to win it. I'm almost certain that Italy will beat Spain today but heck...I decided to make safe predictions and so far I failed all of them (I have Italy winning vs Spain :P)!

Mention for Spain vs Italy for worst game. Horrible, negative, low-energy, disappointing game, very little quality play. Especially because Spain's talented players played exciting football in the group stage and even Italy were much better.

I think we've already seen the best games, sadly. In most tournaments, as the tournament progesses into the semis and the final, the games get boringer.

Only because of the inherent cynicism that has taken over soccer. If you get rid of cynical play and tactics, this doesn't have to be the case. If we accept this negativity as inevitable, then nothing is done about it.
One possible solution (and this is just a vague thought, so no flames please)....why not create a Negative Soccer Index (consisting of some combination of: number of backpasses to the keeper, number of "professional fouls", number of delay of game tactics,...that sort of thing.) and use that as a tie-breaker instead of penalty kicks? The team with the higher "Negativity Index" does not go through. This is fraught with potential problems, but I think it's a line of reasoning that should be included into the discourse of the sport, if only to get people thinking about other ways to get rid of the negativity.

Holland-Russia for sure.
Though you can't beat the ending of Croatia-Turkey!

Well, in 2006 the final was a good game, not overly exciting but a good game nonetheless.
Also, I think the 1/2 between Italy and germany was one of the best game of the whole tournament but the other one between Portugal and France was one of the worst.
I'm hoping for 3 good games to end this excellent european championship!

as long as russia's involved i can't see how we can lose. after their first match against spain where they seemed to be hungover, sleepwalking or both, they've been dyn-o-mite!
