Yea lots of drama, but the game wasn't always played at a high level. There were times in the first 60 minutes where Turkey was invisible.
The 2 Holland games stand out more for me. It's very rare to see a team dominate the WC champion like that and 4 days later dominate the WC runners up even more. And the way they did it, with so much flair, style and elegance ... truly amazing. That was football from another planet.

Let’s not get carried away here. We dominated Italy slightly at most, but generally had them in the bag. France however dominated the second game after the first 20 minutes, and had some piss poor finishing.
We on the other hand have had luck on our side a few times in two games. That’s more luck than we’ve had from 1974 up to 2006.
V Basten also said, we should not forget about the structural weakness that is clearly present in this Dutch team. There is still a lot of scepsis going around here, and rightly so.
We can’t expect to have luck on our side all the time, so we will need to perform better in other areas, mainly defense.
All in all, except for good finishing, we weren’t that great against France.

Well, the thread title refers to the "most entertaining game", not "the best game". The Holland games were awesome because of their results against highest opposition and the way the Dutch conducted their brillant counterattacks, but Italy was just playing awful in the first match and they didn't put up much of a fight. The France game was contested much closer and a joy to watch but overall it was not as thrilling as last night's game. Entertainmentwise, mudwrestling always beats chess, although the latter may be a "better" game.

Czech Republic vs Turkey
That game was awesome. What could've been better? Czech Republic tying the game in the last minute and Turkey having to go in a shootout with Tungay in net.
Netherlands vs France is second.
Italy vs Romania is third.

Turkey against Czech Republic without a doubt. Fast paced games are seen often but you don't see a team that is invisible in the first half and then come out and do what Turks did. No, that's something special and rare. GO TURKIYE! Although I do feel sad for The Czechs. But then again Turks deserved to win. Thanks for the entertainment so far. I can't imagine the Dutch against this Turkey team. That my friends would be what we call ENTERTAINMENT.

The Czech Republic-Turkey will go down in history as one of the most dramatic matches of all-time. Who would have thought of the comeback? And of all players, Cech gave it back to Turks.
It would have been nice if the Czechs equalized and Tungay went into the shootout.

I will never forget the TUR-CZE game for what it brought to the table after the game was up. An incredible comeback, a field player going in goal due to injuries...but to be fair, the excitment and entertainment from this match only came in the last 20 minutes...the rest of it was pretty damn boring.

The last half-hour of the 2005 Champions League Final was also boring as hell, but few people remember that at this point. It was tense because any goal could have won it, but Liverpool were simply playing for penalties and Milan couldn't breach their defense.

Something that came close to this was the Turkish cup final (if i am not mistaking, 3 years ago?) between Fenerbahce and Besiktas, in which, Besiktas beat Fener 4-3 in Kadikoy, and their goalie was sent off, Pancu wore the gloves, and actually made one or two saves! He was named panther of Kadikoy... And i happened to watch it live...
Turkey-Czech Republic
PLUS: this was not the best of this tournament so far only ..but also one of the best of all tournaments ... 3 goals in 15 mins that make you win when u are beaten 2-0 ..and u win 3-2 ! and your goalkepper is sent off and ur forward player turns out to be your goalkeeper....OH NOO you can not see this kind of games everyday ;)

OMG it has to be Turkey/Czech.... definitely one for the archives... I was watching my TV recording and headed to the kitchen to get a drink and prepare for the PKs.... as soon as I turned my back I heard GOALLLLLLL!!!!
An amazing comeback and by far the best game of the tournament...
the comeback, the sending off, the shocked face of the czech (and Turkish) fans.... U cannot make this stuff up:D

From a totally biased perspective - France 0-2 Italy
From a neutral point of view, I'd say Netherlands 4-1 France - simply fantastic.
I'd say the Czech-Turkey game, but unfortunately I was away when the game was on... And no replays... I was pretty pissed.

well...i would not have been nice at all !!! :) just kidding ..for a neutral watcher , it would be nice yeah ..but as a turk , it was the best happines i have had in my life while watching football, together with ilhan mansiz's golden goal that takes us to semi final in world cup 2002 ..

Much more exciting than a typical match from the knockout phases. Good stuff.
