Yeah...I just had a brain fart - thinking about Mondays's game AUS-GER) and writing posts on it on another board while trying to listen to what my wife is telling me in the backround with the RUS-GRE game on all at the same time.

My apologies 100%. I stand corrected!

No more discussion on the '54 tournament please. Title is clear on what the topic of this thread is

Incredible 15 minutes!!! 3 goals including a field player coming into the goal for "Volcano" having an eruption and seeing red!

Fantastic match. Winning goal was fantastic, and you won't see a more exciting twenty minutes. The two goals, and the one the Czechs put off the post. Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Doubt anything else in this tournament will top that for excitement.

What a thriller...will be hard to top off. But, then this is soccer, the "beatiful game", played at its best--at least for 20 minutes! No more boring defensive schemes...play "no fear" soccer with discipline in the back and creativity up front to the delight of the fans.
Congrats Turkiye;););)

Turkey have been fantastic for about 55 minutes so far, and not so good fo the rest. Wonder if they can bring it for a full match against Croatia?

Half of the game between Turkey and Swiss was ruined by the rain.

I'm not arguing it, but they have still only been good in spurts.

I agree with your point in Turkiye playing well in spurts...if they could put together full games like that they would go all the way. They are a very young team and get out of it, sometimes because of excitement, and look not as good as they could.

Having said that, they played increasingly better in world cup 2002 and looks like they are beginning to peak again.

I will tell my grandkids of how I saw this match. That was the craziest thing I ever saw. It was definitely larger than UCL final '05 or '99. The only thing that could have made it more dramatic was if Tuncay actually made a save.

PLUS: this was not the best of this tournament so far only ..but also one of the best of all tournaments ... 3 goals in 15 mins that make you win when u are beaten 2-0 ..and u win 3-2 ! and your goalkepper is sent off and ur forward player turns out to be your goalkeeper....OH NOO you can not see this kind of games everyday ;)
