Who TF is Rowdy Gaines? Yes, I know I could Google him. But based on that comment why should I bother?

Don't bother, his importance was only in the pool, nothing to do with USOC or IOC, at least not enough to make the claim against President Bush credible.

The more likely and reasonable (and less partisan political) motivation would be red spot map that showed zero dots in the entire continent of S. America hosting the Olympics.

That said the whole IOC voting delegate system is totally screwy.

Europe has 43% of the delegates and 11% of the world population, while Asia has 21% of the delegates and 60% of the worlds population.

Heck the US with (2) has fewer delegates than the Netherlands and Australia (3) each and Switzerland (5). The worst by far is India, the second most populous country in the world has 1 delegate.

Leave it to Nate Silver (I'm guessing) to do a delegate count. So stupid :lol

Good guess

Politics aside, dude is amazing with numbers. (not the IOC numbers that was more a funny post on his part)

I like his pollster rating and electoral college stuff, think he was right on with his actual EC count (or very close)

He's good with numbers but a lot of the time I don't like the assumptions he makes from pure statistics. He won't take mitigating factors into account, nor does he understand complex political situations in some scenarios. For example, he was poor in his assumptions with the election in Iran. He should stick to the electoral process in America.

I do enjoy a lot of his stuff though and I do read that website.
