After all that has happen in the recent month it feels good to have won this Clausura.Helps forget in some what the negative vibe that was in Nunez.Simeone to me has to be the main person responsible for the team to come out of the hard and though situation they put themselves after that "horrendous" night vs el Cuervo.

It was good to see Ahumada, of course with all the other players but Oscar's situation was a bit difficult and to see him get all emotional for this title was something positive and forget what happen a few weeks back.

At the beginning of this championship despite being River,I really didn't think River was going to be the winners of this Clausura. With that being said,it comes from having a new coach, new players, and we all know that that takes time to take effect.Even after the first few games I still wasn't convinced.Winning a few games by just a goal and playing some good defense,I didn't think that could be the formula to success. And that at some point it was going to catch up to us and in a few games it did.It takes alot of motivation and concentration and I may add,PRIDE to come away with this title being there fighting with 3 other teams that have the same chances and after like I mentioned before the elimination of the Libertadores, the problems of some players with the fans, the way the fans treated the players with tthe thowing of the corn and all that bullshit.Im proud of them.

Proud of them.Yes,we didn't play well this year for the exception of 3 or 4 games.Versus Velez,Argentinos, the 2nd half vs Gimnasia, and San Lorenzo.Hopefully this next semester with most of the players staying we can build on that and hopefully bring in a few players with expierence that can be a major factor in helping River in the Sudamericana and Apertura. I really hope that Solari and Ayala come back to River.Ayala despite being what 33 years iold, I think he still has 2 or 3 more years of good futbol left in him and with his expierence he could be a great add on to this team.

Midfielders is what we need the most and I heard Simeone already talk about this.I don't know what he has in store for Ortega but we all know that he isn't fit to play. We do have to thank him for reviving River in 2 very though situations vs Huracan and vs Gimnasia and to forget vs Colon and that great assist to el Enano vs Olimpo that brought the title home.It will be interesting to see what happens.I personally think he is better coming off the bench, looks more motivated.Maybe he will get in shape for whats to come and can be more effective when being a starter.

Ahumada to me was one of the more consistant players on this team, even though to me i'm not a huge fan of him, i'd rather see Ponzio as River's 5.Agusto Fernandez is leaving aswell as Sanchez,Falcao too. Don't mind if Abreu goes also.Seems like a great teammate but we need a real 9 de area that doesn't miss so many chances like el Loco.

Whats the time between this Clausura and Apertura? 2 Weeks? Can't wait for the Apertura to begin and see what players Simeone requests :)

GOD it was great to see the the fans listen to the radio waiting to see what happens in La Plata with Estudiantes, brought back some memories thats for sure.

Think twice about Abreu. In past years, the team seemed to be alright, but would always loose. He's a corageuos player, and can kick a penalty in the last minute of a final match without hesitation. That's the kind of player any team needs.
If he goes away, good luck getting a better 9.

Thanks Mune, i'll try to post more often. :) How have you been?

Abreu is unique in his own ways. He seems to be one hell of a teammate which is kmportant to have in a group someone like him,his character is some what appreciated by his teammates as you can see when he scores a gol or if someone scored, always well spoken in interviews and seems to be in a good mood. And that is very important to have within a team.

As for his performances, im sure theres other players that I would rather have then him.Sure he helps on defense and helps the defense out tremendously when theres a corner or free kick involving centers into River's box.

Attacking mode,he can help but I think we need more of him.Misses one too many chances.Does assist his teammates here and there bring down balls with headers but he isn't the answer to River's attack.Didn't help him out much either having him with another 9 de area like Falcao, where when Falcao had chances to give it to him when Abreu was in a better situation but Falcao being a goleador himself, his instinct is to try and score instead of assisting his teammate.

Like Simeone said, "vamos al frente con lo que tenemos y veremos que pasa". Like that and all we came out champions and having Buonanotte the top scorer of the team.
