perhaps better to say the defenders are crap. the D as a collective is actually quite good. but no one would say Ooijer or Mathijsen are top ten in the're positions.
The Dutch defense were crap during the warmup matches, EQers, etc. Their performance against Italy was misleading. France exposed them tonight. They still hold as of now. Romania will expose them and send both the Italians and the French home.

I'm totally biased as an Italy supporter, but do other folks think that first half [ITA/ROU] was much better than this one?
