Were it not for the disallowed goal in the first half, I would call this a justified draw. But on that basis, I have to say despite their shameless diving of the second half, Italy was robbed.

It'd do a lot to end poor calls, but film doesn't reveal all either, moreso in soccer than American Football..

Maybe the early goal should have counted, but Italy should have been carded in the first half hour for diving, so that might have evened things up some.

Come on, the "offside" goal was a very close call. That can happen. What are the Austrians supposed to say who really got robbed in the game against Poland? Does the UEFA want them out as well?

And the last minutes didn't help the perceived Italian image as being a bunch of cheaters. All those dives in the penalty area really were a disgrace.

Any sympathy I had for Italy was lost w/their diving in the second half, particularly in the last 15 minutes or so. It was so repulsive, disgraceful, and showed such a dramatic lack of character and integrity, just like their nonsense against Australia 2 years ago. Good God it was awful. Just disgraceful, and whatever bad luck they had w/that call, almost every other team in the tourney has been hosed by a bad call at this point (particularly bad offsides calls), and additionally they did get plenty of good luck (a post, a miracle saved penalty) to keep the game even in the first place.
