Let's add those:
WC Final, perfectly regular goal disallowed.
mKYdcC_hmYI
EC 2008 Qualifying group, the most important match, perfectly regular goal disallowed.
HQHY0EaaW9k
So those people who just blablabla, those spazzos who charge us of being guilty of being cheaters, can go ******** yourselves, you don't know shit about us, you just talk because you have a mouth. You deserve no credits.
WE should score like 3-4 every match to have a couple allowed in the result. That's something wrong with FIFA/UEFA.

And i was only asked to said one but if you want another one, what do you think of the whole 1934 tournament, a tournament hosted by Mussolini only to see Italy be champions?
That is the greatest garbage EVER.
My grandfather (rip) was a football fan back in the days and he even went to Rome (from Modena, that is the place where I live) to see the final game against Czechoslovakia. He told me this (and he didn't have any interest to lie): Mussolini wasn't even remotely a football fan, but he knew that football was a great passion for lot of people. So he just did these two things:
1) He asked to host the tournament and he invested lot of money to organise the greatest football manifestation until than** (to give italy some glory)
2) He went before the final game to the Italy's locker room and he said to the players: win, or... (and at that point he made the sign of the finger that "cut" the neck... I don't know how to explain very well but I think you have understand)
In all the other games he just attended on the tribune making just some "clap-clap" when italy did some goals. He was busier to think about some ************ law for our country.
** And that was the only good thing that Mussolini did during his dictature :D... I don't know if you get the idea, but for the time this number of spectators is simply incredible (and soccer wasn't even a very acclaimed game in Italy, everyone watched cyclism...)
http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=gPpqC5bcggw
PS And anyway the azzurri at that time were simply incrdible... meazza, schiavio... and even the coach Vittorio Pozzo... probably the strongest Italy ever. It's bad that we don't have lot of videos of those times.

mKYdcC_hmYIIn my view, this offsides wasn't just the correct call, but the clearly correct call. I dunno how you see differently. I've seen hundreds of closer offsides called with no complaint.
EC 2008 Qualifying group, the most important match, perfectly regular goal disallowed.
HQHY0EaaW9kYou're absolutely right about this one though, definitely a terrible call here.

To me it's a little bit borderline, but fair enough.

Speaking of controversy, I don't think this freekick given to Italy against Scotland was anything close to such. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQVpYvP4toc&feature=related
And leading to the goal, where maybe, we could be seeing Scotland in the tournament, of course, Scotland could have done better against Georgia to have bettered their chances to begin with.

Mussolini wasn't a killer.
He simply went up to them and shouted the Fascist slogan "Vincere o Morire" (Win or Die). He wasn't threatening anyone's health, he was simply trying to spur them all.
But like you said, he didn't fix anything.
I even find it funny how some people claim he managed to corrupt the successive World Cup in France to have Italy win.

Certainly, the referee made a mistake in awarding the free kick, but he also disallowed a legitimate Italian goal and allowed an offside Scottish goal to stand. So, in a sense, the game ended as it should have.

Brian Glanville ( www.worldsoccer.com )has his World Cup tournament book. I believe he talks about how some Brazil players did not play in some games in the 1938 tournament and there is a question as to why not. I know he exclusively writes about Mussolini having threatened the players if they did not play well with a "your heads will roll" if you lose type of expression. I believe he also says that their opponents, Czech or Hungarians felt sorry for their opponents under such a threat. The game was eventually replayed or something if I remember, '34 or '38, this is real history. It's not surprising to see the Maldini article and being interpreted by some as threatening, I don't know if it is a threat but it's something. I also read someone say, Van Basten cherishes Italian football too much, having played their to pull some trick of his own like this. There are probably Dutch supporters as well, who would rake him through the coals if Holland won against Romania and eventually crashed out to Italy or France.
Other sources say England wasn't invited to '30 and '34.
It wasn't as big of a tournament back then.
Also, we should remember these Italian heroes because their team was in a plane crash some time before the war.

Ah yes, the Superga air disaster. The reason why Italy couldn't mount a serious World Cup challenge for some time after the initial World Cup victories --- basically the entire Azzurri team died when their plane crashed into a hill outside of Torino.

Interesting story, if i was an Italian player i would of shit my pants when Mussolini came into the locker rooms and said that to us. But anyways how does this relate to what i said? Mussolini used the tournament for his fascist propaganda. So it is obvious that Italy has to win the tournament for people to eat his shit(Sorry for my language).
"Italian leader Benito Mussolini used the hosting of the World Cup to promote nationalism and his National Fascist Party. There was also controversy regarding refereeing decisions perceived to be in Italy's favour, such as during its win over Spain in the quarter-final (the Swiss referee Rene Mercet was subsequently banned by the Swiss FA on account of his partiality toward the host nation) and the final victory over Czechoslovakia, refereed by Sweden Ivan Eklind. Never said or read anything about the world cup of 1938 in France and Mussolini corrupting it. And i wouldn't go as far as saying he wasn't a killer, because he was, but lets not get into those issues. Here is quote on an article I read. "There was more than a hint of favoritism in the refereeing; Mercet of Switzerland was later suspended by the Swiss FA for the blatant pro-Italian nature of his decision-making. The Swedish referee Eklind was accused of meeting up with Mussolini before matches." I encourage you to read this article without a biased perspective, it is really interesting and tell me what you think about it. http://www.worldcupyears.com/years/1934overview.shtml
EDIT-here is another one that i forgot to write:)

It's even more funny that you replied to me with a childish picture, and had to wait for other people to get into the discussion to backfire since you probably had nothing else to say. But it's pointless having a formal discussion with you, so I won't bother with you anymore.

Yeah if I'm correct that happen in 1949 and it wasn't until 1970 that Italy got out of group stage for the first time since then (besides Sweden 1958 which they didn't participate), and actually were finalist. That was a total tragedy.:(

Horrible how all those poor players could die like that, in a flash, in the prime of their lives... May they rest in peace.

I can prove otherwise. If you knew the rules of the game, it's a clear penalty.
I want to see something that is totally a bad call to the benefit of Italy. SHOW ME.
For good measure:

Neill didn't even touch the ball, now read up on contact in the box when a player slides in like that.
God back here again. This is the type of crap that makes me want Italy to go out tomorrow so everyone just quit it. It's in the past and it all got evened up with Ruud v Italy.

Actually, I thought it got evened up when Materazzi was given a straight red in the Australia game ;)
And I don't think that it's Italian supporters that actually bring this incident up, so one can't blame FNU for seeking to defend the decision. But you're right... it's in the past, it's time to move on. Please, please let nobody mention this incident again unless you want everybody to suffer through 500 iterations of the same old argument.

The fact is that the game was different. Players didn't run through the field and build actions to score, but they tried their best to always keep their right positions in the field and, staying in that position, pass the ball and let the main scorers (and not other players) shot when they have the ball.
It was a static and tactical way to play football, and there were lots of fight to "conquist" your position.
We just can't judge with our parametres the actions/fouls of those games... and anyway now they are a piece of the history of football. And IMO Italy deserved to win, because they really were the best. It isn't a case that the Milan stadium is called "Giuseppe Meazza".

You will at the final whistle. ;)
It's very doubtful Holland will field a full strength side, and Romania are no pushovers as you found out, when you had to rely on an ageing defender to score with his knee. Piu Bella!
