please watch the match again, the statistics simply contradict your suppositions, we had much more shots then you did, we had even a post 2 situations 1 on 1 with the keeper, you "counter attacks" were at mostly a weak attempt of attacking, you were only crossing the ball from side to side, those are not chances....
1 penalty missed
1 post
2 situations 1 o 1 with the keeper
5 shots on target 15 shots wide, you had 4 shots on target 10 shots wide etc
watch the game again you are lucky you escaped with a draw.
dude are you high?
if italy had scored first, that changes the whole game plan. TONI's goal should have counted. Then Italy shuts down the romanians. Italy has always thrived on counter attacks from playing a defensive game, though their style has changed a bit since then. I'd love to see italy get a 1-0 lead versus les bleus and watch them shut them down.
But a big tip off to the Netherlands, playing some brilliant football, though I predict they won't win it all. I look for spain or croatia to win it all.

I'm not complaining, I'm stating the obvious and facts. Tell me how many times we've been favored by the refs, give me one specific occurrence if you can. If not, go back to being oblivious like your national team.
Wow, didn't i just gave you one? Once again I'll repeat you the specific one: AUSTRALIA VS ITALY world cup 2006 last 16 round.

It's 2008, how long can UEFA not use instant replay in tournaments, just yesterday, Greece was nullified a goal and totally respecting the great game Sweden played, but the Spaniard was knocked down clearly right before the end of the first half in the penalty area.
So indeed, these bad calls have been going all around.

Well, overall that WAS a mistake but that wasn't such a GREAT refereeing mistake and here I'll explain why: the australian defender's intention was anyway to put Grosso down... at that point Grosso decided to dive to be sure of the penalty... but if he would have decided to go on there would have been a penalty anyway...
Is it all? If it's already finished your list of good refereeing for us, well, I'm pretty sure that more or less every international team has had an advantage by a referee ONE TIME.

I want to see something that is totally a bad call to the benefit of Italy. SHOW ME.

Neill didn't even touch the ball, now read up on contact in the box when a player slides in like that.

pathetic
You start really bad, but I guess I'm not SO pathetic to answer to an insult by another forum-user over the internet
you only hold the ball in our half more, you made alot of crossings but 95 % of them were without adress. We had at least 2 situations 1 on 1 with the keeper, we had 1 post and much more shots then italy , according to the statistics Romania had 5 shots on goal 15 shots wide, Italy had 4 shots on goal , 10 shots wide, you are one of the few saying italy played better then us, yesterday.....
How can you judge the complexive play of two teams with the shots statistics? Playing good doesn't mean just make shots, but for example it means even make what you call "useless cross". And even if by the statistics you can find out that Romania shooted more than Italy, azzurri played better game (not an obsessive defensive game based only to the mistakes of the other team) than you.
about the referee, the penalty was 100 % a penalty and Toni's goal was erroneously dissalowed but you italians whining about refeeree mistakes is damn pathethic, how about the penalty you received against Australia at the WC ?
already said in the other post
P.S.
AN ITALIAN REFEREE WILL LEAD THE GAME HOLLAND - ROMANIA : Massimo Busacca, ISN'T THIS OUTRAGEOUS, AND YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT REFEREES AND CHEATING ?
1) It's not italian
2) Any referee that is not dutch or romanian can partecipate in Holland-Romania
3) You're talking about bad refereeing of a game that hasn't begun... at least wait for the end to blame the referee

Sounds like someone is still bitter about getting beat 2-0 in the last World Cup, in their own backyard, in a stadium they have never lost. Let's revisit that glorious day, shall we? When was the last time Germany beat Italy in a World Cup again?
H51wDnd3a3s
Typical? Germans being sour and bitter is what's typical here.
oh man, you are so lame i didn't expect anything less.
and to think i am bitter because of that game? on the contrary. italy deserved to win that game because they risked more in the extra time. i am satisfied how the german team played wc06. i can deal well with a defeat when both teams put on a great show. sometimes you win sometimes you lose. that's how the game is but i am sure that is something you will never understand.
now go and make more poor excuses about Italy being robbed when they dived like no tomorrow in the last 15 min.
How many times did Germany beat Italy in a WC again? I didn't get your answer.

Referee apologises to Italy over disallowed Toni goal
Sunday 15 June 2008 - 04:42:13 - Click to post or view
Despite UEFA coming out and saying that referee Tom Henning Ovrebo was right to rule out Toni’s headed goal against Romania, the referee himself has come out and apologised to the Italy team:
“There is nothing to discuss. I made a mistake on Toni’s goal and I said the same to the UEFA Commission,” confessed the Norwegian.
This will anger the Italians, who could be eliminated from the competition thanks to that one decision, and FIGC President Giancarlo Abete has asked for a public apology from UEFA.
Toni had put the back in the net on the stroke of half-time when the scoreline was still blank, but it was ruled out despite Paul Constantin Codrea keeping him in play.
UEFA sources said that, although the Bayern Munich striker was almost two yards onside, the flag was raised for Alessandro Del Piero’s position, but that was shown in replays to be level with the Romanian defender.
The Italian Referees Associaion President Cesare Gussoni, had made it clear he was not happy with the decision.
“Toni’s goal was valid and the referee was not up to the standard of the match.”
Now it seems that he was right, but will Italy be happy with just an apology?

“Toni’s goal was valid and the referee was not up to the standard of the match.”
Not the referee but the linesman is responsible for offside calls.
Mistakes happen in soccer (did you see the offside goal from the Poles against Austria?) ... so it's useless complaining anymore! Italy had enough chances to score the winner in that game (the same with Romania).

A mistake is a mistake. If people argue that the offside call cost Italy the win. then you can also argue that the penalty kick cost Australia the elimination. So this is a totally bad call since it was a knock out match, allowing Italy to go trough. Another thing, i doubt the Australian player wanted to take grosso out and get a penalty in the end of the game. Have you ever thought maybe he wanted the ball?? Also you don't know what the reff would have decided if grosso decided not to trow himself on top of the other player, neither do you know that maybe Romania would of come back and score. Unless you are god which i doubt you are. There are a million things that can happen in a game. And i was only asked to said one but if you want another one, what do you think of the whole 1934 tournament, a tournament hosted by Mussolini only to see Italy be champions? People just don't hate Italy because they decided they were going to, they have reasons. I have to say i am not one of them though. And also I am not as uninformed as you think i am.
I can prove otherwise. If you knew the rules of the game, it's a clear penalty.

Neill didn't even touch the ball, now read up on contact in the box when a player slides in like that.
So what you are trying to say is that when the player was down he puts his elbow back and tries to elbow grosso on the leg but since he missed he grabs his foot??? Try this: when you duck your head and something is behind you, thats what your elbows do naturally. Also the clip where he supposedly grabs his foot is blurry and to me it looks like his hand was closed. This video is just trying to excuse a mistake a referee makes and its made with pro-italian comments, i could make one like that but for the Australian side and be as convincing as this one, and off course its not a bad call to you because its not against you. You should try been less biased sometime.
The Australian guy slides and misses BOTH, the ball and the player. It is grosso the one that runs into the player looking for a penalty which he gets. i still don't understand how you can be so cynical and say its not a totally bad call that benefits Italy, it was in the last minute and was a knock out match. Even the guy on the other quote said it was a mistake by the reff. You should try been more understanding.

If you are referring to me, the answer is no. Never said the Australia call outweighs them all, you told me to tell you one time that the reffs helped Italy and i did. As for the video, that is just pathetic, you didn't win the world cup and now you cry about it, you are not likely to go to the next round in this EURO and you are already making up excuses about your failure. How about you make a video of the times the reffs helped you to win a cup, not a game, but a whole tournament. Offcourse you don't say anything about that because it is all ignorant talk right? The problem is that you think because you get a bad ref call you think the whole world is against you and just want to see you lose, that must be why the refferee call the offside right? The more videos you post the more of a fool you make yourself look. Oh and as for the totti red card. he dived and he deserved a yellow, he had one already so that means a red. Looks like the oblivious one ended up been you.

I dont think it outweighed anything, but IMHO it was not a PK against Australia.
Sometimes they go for you, sometimes they go against you.
