I'm talking about saves.
Learn some English.
well you never said what "many times" was referring to...
you put it out there in the middle of my and heist's conversation

I thought van der Sar made three quality saves. Maybe I miscounted though.
And from chatting with him, I think Squid's English is quite good myself...... ;)

cassano lost it after the game and promised revenge in the semi final.

The line directly above it maybe?

oh, I see.
Since the "saves" topic hadn't been mentioned for a page or two, I thought you were linking that to the passing moves and was asking about the "many times" for passing moves.

I've just deleted the last couple of posts due to their content. Any further attacks from either of you will result in carding similar to that seen in the Holland-Portugal game last WC.

For the record, my post you're probably aiming at was directed at Cassano, not the poster who posted it.
If you feel you need to ban me, by all means do so. But do it for a good reason.

For the record that was one of several of yours I deleted. Carry on the way you have been and the ban wont be far away

I didn't say they were defensive or even "not attacking". I just said they were not playing flowing, beautiful passing football at almost any stage of the match.
Very difficult to do against (defensive) Italy, they simply dont allow it

italy weren't defensive at all in that match.
and they aren't a defensive team now

True.
I think Italy will make it. France, I think not. But I'd rather see Italy go out.

Have you thought about this:
If we beat France, we qualify for the QF's, then we play Romania last.
Wouldnt it be smarter to let Romania win (by many goals), helping them get into the QF's, as opposed to France or Italy????
Who would you rather play in the knockouts, Italy or Romania???

Errrr... Well, for the sake of having some competition, I'd pick Romania of course :D
But seriously: I'd rather just end the group with 9 points.

Wouldn't be really fair, 4 years ago Holland went on because the Czechs didn't sit back when they already qualified but went on to whoop Germany's ass with their B team, making Holland second in the group instead of Germany.
Besides Romania has got quite a defense it seems, could be harder to score against than Italy which relies on their defense which is hopeless right now. but of course if Holland would face Italy again in the semi's the chances are big they fixed it somewhat and beat Holland.

So what? What's not fair?
Life isn't "fair."

Well OK, but its still hard to play free flowing style against Italy, even when
they're not at their best.

One game in which Romania defeated Holland, one could say that was one-off, but Romania defeated Holland two times in the qualifiers if I read correctly, so that is a good sign for them for the last game no matter what. The teams can't be that much different. Something to pay attention to 'cause the Netherlands took it to Italy, 3-0.

The first goal opened things up a bit and your team took full advantage and looked beautiful doing it. It really was a nice offensive display from the Netherlands and a shocking defensive showing from us. That being said against a different team we might have gotten away with sloppiness in our first game. It takes superior offensive ability to do it against Italy. In fact, this is the first such diplay I remember in quite a long time. Well done Netherlands!
