Not sure whether Kuranyi should count really... He's always had a German passport, since his father is German, and he started playing for Stuttgart, when he was 15. Also, his mother is Panamanian.

As far as Argentines, the only one that comes to mind is Camoranesi.

And half-Hungarian, I know. The point is, Kuranyi has always had a German passport.
He also spent part of his childhood in Panama, so you can't really call him Brazilian either.

Kuranyi's father is European, he isn't naturalized so he shouldn't count.

Since they're all current citizens of European countries, the answer is zero.

He is a special case. He is not a foreign player who gained citizenship liked Senna. Let's say he will still be a German if he is a butcher, lawyer, drug dealer, police, etc. I don't think Roger Guerreiro will be in Poland if he isn't a footballer. Having said that, he is a Brazilian by birth.

BTW, how come Mehmet Aurélio have an Islamic name? Mehmet is Islamic, right?

What happened is that some countries gives you some sort of a ''new name'' once you become a citizen.Kind of like being baptised once again...I don't know if I explained it well!

You are right, Mehmet is the way we call Mohammed in Turkish. His name was originally Marco, he took this name because his favourite team mate's name was Mehmet(Yozgatli) and it starts with "m".

BTW, how come Mehmet Aurélio have an Islamic name? Mehmet is Islamic, right? He had to change his name to a turkish name, On getting a turkish passport you can't have a none-turkish name, That's what Colin Kazim Richards is now Kazim Kazim. I could be wrong on that, but i read thats why Kazim said he had too.
