Twellman has been a big scorer in MLS and a perennial All Star and a powerful force for the Revs and their playoff drives and had a goal of the year type bicycle kick in the MLS Cup last year.

After the U.S.'s awful performance it the 2006 World Cup Daryl Doran, one of the best indoor players EVER, said Twellman is a "goal scoring machine" and should've been on the team.

I think a goal scoring machine like Twellman should have SOME place on the team even as a sub for pete's sake so WHY is Bradley so stupid as to not have him on the team???? I agree with those who say Bradley should be fired because not having Altidore on the team is very stupid as well.

Mark my words, unless some serious changes are made to this team they'll get destroyed in the World Cup. You all know that was a penalty kick and Argentina should've won 1-0. The vast majority of refs would've called that a penalty shot and the announcers said so themselves.

Welcome to BigSoccer, Mrs. Twellman.

Although I will say it's kinda refreshing to have a non-Revs fan Twellman fanboy.

I was never a big fan of TT, but now that I know Daryl Doran thinks he's a goal scoring machine things will change.

I don't know what the hell you guys are joking about. The USMNT couldn't score a SINGLE GOAL, not a SINGLE GOAL, in 3 games against top competition and you think a goal scorer like Twellman wouldn't have helped??

No one in their right mind would think Josh Wolff is better! Twellman couldn't have hurt but only helped.

We already have an MLS goal scoring machine in Eddie Johnson....

I think you're only allowed one MLS scoring machine per cap game...

If you violate that rule, Pablo Mastroeini gets automatically red carded...

The reason Twellman is not being called into the Nats is very simple. He has been given many opportunities to prove himself at the international level. The bad news is that he has produced little during those callups. Yes he scores in MLS, but the international level is a different story with a higher level of play. He has to be able to do more than poach goals, and has made little in terms of improvement in his all around game. Until that happens he will continue to play in MLS, but recieve little in the form of call ups to Nats. As bad as it sounds right now Eddie Johnson is a better player at that level.

Twellman would have solved this point? We would have looked more inept in our offensive half while still not scoring.

29 caps and 6 goals--one of which was against decent opposition (Japan).

Twellman is a great MLS player and absolutely worthless on the international level. Our three best strikers right now are pretty clearly Altidore, Cooper, and Ching. I'll take EJ over Twellman any day of the week--he at least forces the defenses to respect his speed, which opens things up for other guys.

Well since Twellman is injured, he wouldn't have helped the US much even if he is all you think he is (or pretend to think he is).

Love Twellman. I love that he has lit MLS a new one over the years. Hard nosed. Good header. Can finish in tight quarters. Can do nicely in the short passing, one-two touch game. The problem is he shown that all the club level. He has, in 29 caps at the international level, failed to show this. Am I willing to give him another shot since our striking department is in dire straights? Hell, why not. But first he's gotta get healthy and two when he is healthy he's gotta find his scoring touch. Rest assured his chances to impress grow smaller and smaller much like our other choices not named Altidore. Twellam isn't a McBride and in some degree was counted on being a replacement/fill in for him. That's unfortunate and unfair really. I wish Twellman the best career going forward but chances are great he will never be a consistent international player. If he can move across the pond which he wants and can consistently score at an improved club level maybe he can surprise us and be serviceable.

TT is not a favorite on the Nat board. However, he will return and will spark yet another round to Twellman bashing.

There are so many here that have man crushes on Cooper or Altidore. To bad they are not the scoring machine TT is.

You think 3 games and zero goals against good competition is an endorsement for any forward that played? It's wide open at this point. He scored one goal (almost two) in only 45 minutes of play this year. Expect him to light it up when he returns to action this week.
