More whining after a page and a half had gone by with none of it.

Geez, I understand it's sport and it's emotional but get a grip. You were gifted a goal and you had a correct PK called against you.

Once again, how does that add up to "robbed", nevermind "robbed big time"?

How is that correct PK? Show me another PK called in this situation anywhere outside of the MLS and high school soccer, which is evidently what you are used to watching...

There are hundreds of PK's on youtube and the like, find one that that was similar to this BS on competitive international level, I dare you.

Even Beenhakker was pissed off, and he's right to give it to the ref, it was a fix all the way....

Thinking about it...I think its better for Poland that they tied...this gives Austria an incentive to whip Germany...if Austria lost they would play with no passion next game...and we need Germany to lose.

Austria would not have been eliminated with a loss. In fact, they would have needed to whip Germany (beat them by 4 goals and have Croatia beat Poland). Either way, they would have been playing hard.

Sorry but that tugging should not be a penalty. What the ref didnt see was that Bak was bein held by the austrian with bleached hair, yet that wasn't called. Please shirt tug + dive + forward momentum shouldn't change the game. It was more of a leaning in a pile than a deliberate throw down...

Yeah. He's barely touching him.

and kienast (Austrian no. 18) is merely saying hello to Bak?
give me a break!... Scandalous officiating.....

For sure - i hope so, and i hope that blind linesman takes the same way.

But well I guess the mighty Austrians fixed the match, we payed them big times - now we only have to beat germany to advance. Even our dumb officials would be clever enough to fix the first game as well - to secure our spot - at least I hope they would be clever enough.

On second thought - maybe the Germans fixed it - they paid the refs today - and they gonna pay us. We`ll se some Gijon-like game on monday, we earned money from the germans, they do like us even more - spend more holiday in Austria - we get richer again. Wow, thats one hell of a conspirancy against Poland!

I really wanted Austria to win today however they just didn't seem to have that self belief and killer instinct to put the ball in the net. That being said Artur Boruc just oozes class, and i fully expect him to leave Celtic this summer.

Artur was outstanding for Poland tonight. and congratulations on the birth of his baby boy.

as for him leaving us, then someone somewhere needs to ante up in the region of £11mill.

Agreed. Missing the offside cost Austria 2 points.

Yay for Garics!

Excellent player, Guerrero could never outplay him. Congraz he plays for your team, he learned A LOT at Napoli.

We were robbed big time, I wish that we just went home now as a protest against a fixed match. I hope that the Polish fed has enough balls to do that, but of course they do not....

Dont be childish. To blame the ref for not winning is just ludicrous.

Be happy that Austria has got a stupid head coach who leaves some good players and strikers at home who would not miss such big chances. At least we did not "import" some Brazilian before the Euro too who scores an (offside) goal.

Boruc is a GREAT goalkeeper!

Soccer Day on ESPN! kinda cool, rather see the Fire play tonight but that's okay,

Well, I am studying this and the coach has his say here,

But I liked the post above that said Austria will have more incentive with a draw, or something like this, I don't know, I know Croatia go through and won't have real reason to play Poland hard.

Oh pleaase Guerrero has been playing in the Polish league for a while now,no need to "import". Its not like we went searching in the brush of brazil to find a player. In fact i think he even has a polish girlfriend.

Our defence is BAD period...we could of lost this game 3-0 in the first half if it wasn't for Boruc.

Well our only hope is that Croatia put in their "B" squad and we win 3-0:rolleyes:

5-10% chance Austria would have scored a goal: no reason to anything controversial, learn the hardway...I have a feeling Poland had more ball possession, they were coming close.....maybe if Germany trounces Austria, that would mean they'd be going no matter what....

But congrats to Austria! Cinderella team and you never know, like they say in the NFL, if this and this and this happens, but it has and teams have made and missed the playoffs that way.

Several years ago, Pognan, one of the teams in Poland filled their roster to have an almost all Brazil team: so it is not surprising they've got one on the National team..

Yea the club is Pogon Szczecin but also they were the worst team in the league and were relegated into the 4th division due to match-buying scandals

it was legit

Look at the photo that Gunning4Chelsea posted. What's more legit, the alleged foul on the Austrian player or the absolute streamrolling of the Polish defender off the ball? It was not legit, but it's time to move on....

To be honest, for about 25 minutes in the first half the Austrians played very well, and totally outplayed Poland, and if it hadn't been for Boruc's heroics the score going into the half could have been much different. Nevertheless, goalkeeping is a part of the game, and that Austrian advantage doesn't mean anything. Poland was much better for the remaining 65 minutes, but, too, was denied by much better than usual Macho.

all good but what a stupid foul by Lewandowski. We need to rearrange our defensive tactics and Leo has got to make some changes
