I still maintain traffic into the stadium via the turnpike will be much worse.
This same Sunday last year there was a Gold Cup doubleheader taking place at GS. I was on my way to Newark Airport going south, to my horror I witnesses a ten mile back up on the northbound side heading into the stadium. Traffic was at a complete standstill! Do yourself a favor, even if it means going out of your way, approach the stadium from Route 3 east via the Garden State Parkway. Your welcome!

Luckily I'm on a bus. But it is going to SUCK. It was bad for the Police concert last year, this should be worse. Can't imagine how the football fans dealt with it this past fall.

They used off-site lots and shuttle buses. To my knowledge, they don't have that set up for this game. Bad planning, NJSEA.

Exciting changes are in the works at the Meadowlands Sports Complex. Construction continues on Meadowlands Xanadu – the ultimate sports, leisure and family entertainment complex in the United States, the new football stadium, Giants training facility and a new rail line. When the rail line opens in Summer 2009, it will allow most patrons in New Jersey and New York City to access the Sports Complex using mass transportation via NJ Transit's existing Pascack Valley line or the Secaucus Transfer Station.
Enjoy the Game!

EWR to GS around 4PM. Is it safe to take the turnpike at that time?
Or should I take Rt. 21/McCarter Hwy to Rt. 3, or possibly GS Parkway to Rt. 3?

They say that the lot opens at 2:30 meaning I bet that is when they start to charge for parking. Parking is $20.
Me and many others plan on arriving at noon.

I'll be getting dropped off by a taxi or something and then probably will end up doing some walking. I'm coming from Newark. I should arrive at Giants Stadium no later then 3, but I'm expecting a 2-2:30 ETA.

Noon it is to begin tailgate setup.
Supposed to be about 95 degrees.
Plan to bring liquids of non-booze variety too so you don't pass out in the lot.

Lot 14 is right next to 18, right?
Don't want to have to lug all the stuff for our tailgate too far. Glad there's dedicated charter bus parking, though.

Take the bus to the Port Authority.
Looks like they will indeed be opening additional lots for the big crowd:

I usually take the train up from Philly to Giants Stadium. But circumstances require me to drive up this time. I'm planning on leaving after the Germany/Poland match at around 4:45pm. It usually takes around 1 1/2 hours to drive up from Philly so that would get me to the Stadium around 6:30pm. Does anyone see me having any problems getting there in time?

if it's just a mile I would walk it. There are buses to Port Authority from Giants Stadium after the game. I'm not sure if you can get tickets on the bus though...
