I'm glad he's not going to England. Sucks that he is leaving , but its for the best. Good luck Jozy:
Per AmericanSoccerReader.com (http://americansoccerreader.com/2008/06/04/villareal-to-sign-altidore-loan-him-to-recreativo-huelva/)
As we were first to report earlier this year, Villareal is lining up a $10 Million bid for New York Red Bulls and US National Team starlet Jozy Altidore. Sources out of Spain have unveiled that should Villareal complete the signing, they plan to loan the striker out to Recreativo Huelva.

Personally I hope that he doesn't get loaned out to any team. Manuel Pellegrini (Villareal DT) would do well to have Jozy on the first team.

True, but rather he get some first team experience then just sitting on a bench or playing in the reserves

...like the wind.
I could not have thought of a better move for mr. Altidore and that he is being loaned out is good too. Get him away from the spotlight for that crucial first year adjustment period. And from what i can tell he might start at Recreativo, where as i don't think he would start at Villareal unless injury strikes hard.

I was just reading AS from spain and the deal is set at 10 million euros, something close to 15.5 million dollars. It's pretty much a done deal but it will have to wait until June 15th, when the MLS transfer window opens up.
This would also explain his lackluster performances this year so far. Obviously his head is in Europe and if that's the case it really is better that he leave and let RBNJ rebuild their offense.

I know it was eventually going to happen. But shit this sucks. When will he be leaving? I guess there is only a couple more chances to see him in person.
