Imagine yourself being a top scorer in a club, scoring tons of goals per season. How would you react after scoring these goals? Would you "suck your thumb," "kiss club's logo"....? So basically invent new cool styles of celebration.
I would kiss United's logo and smile to the fans. Maybe sometimes do some somersaults. And in some cases I would just be like Cantona.

I would do the "aeroplane" celebration or any form of acrobatics. That thumb sucking crap belongs in the village, or anywhere VR lives for that matter.

I'd perform an interpretive dance routine based loosely around the theme of good versus evil, showing that difficulties and adversity can be overcome by hard work and endeavour.

I'd attempt to emulate five famous celebrations just for the highlight reel and to get a youtube clip going.
When I began playing I usually just ran, yelled, and pumped my fist, then after a while I didn't celebrate at all - just went back to my half and waited for the kickoff.

I've always done the airplane. I just started hushing the croud. I have always liked the boot shine. My favorite is the one where your player picks you straight up and as he runs you back to your half you shake your finger at the goal keeper and wink;)...love it.
I'm 6'4 and 215 though so no one has ever wanted to do it for me...:(

I'd probably walk back slowly and when my team mates came over i'd run away

If I were to dribble through an entire teams defense and shoot a scorcher into the back of the net my dream celebration would be to throw my cleats off, dance around like my feet are really hot, and somehow pull a fire extinguisher out of my ass and continue to spray my cleats until its safe to wear them again.
And I've always been fond of the simple kissing your clubs crest and pointing to the fans.

In all honesty, acknowledge/thank whoever assisted on your goal, then jog back to midfield and get on with the game.

Not his celebration against Middlesbrough and Liverpool, that makes me thing he will injure himself.
But them two are the ones I would always do for sure.

I always liked the way Batistuta and Filippo Inzaghi celebrated when they scored. Even if it was the most innocuous tap in or deflection off their @rse they'd go mad, running along the touch line gesuring to the crwod to "get involved" etc.
It used to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I saw it and still does just thinking about it now. They just loved scoring goals as much as the fans did - not like Henry who used to run quite nonchalantly looking very cool and calm. All very cool but not my cup of tea.

This, for instance, probably went in off his knee or something, but you'd think he'd scored from 60 yards.........

Will take your lead and be honest too.
Don't think I'd do anything out of the ordinary or any little routine thing and levels of celebration would depend on the goal scored.
If someone beat three players and laid the goal on a plate, I'd go over and jump on him. Doing a dance or whatever that screams "look at me" in such circumstances seems a little off.
Ole had it right. Scores a Champs League winner slides on his knees with arms in the air, scores the 4th in a 4-1 win at home against Charlton and he smiles a bit, briefly raising an arm to the crowd. Nani has it wrong. Does the flips against Liverpool (good) but also does them against Glentoran in pre-season. Not sure what all that's about. Don't get me started on Robert Earnshaw doing a little jig when he made it Derby 2-3 Arsenal with 15 minutes or so left a couple of months back. Get on with the game and look for a en equaliser instead of fannying about, trying to get on Soccer AM.
PS am I the only one who thinks the "aeroplane" would be wrong at OT? Think Jan Aage Fjortoft did it once when he scored for Swindon which didn't go down too well.
