Damm...this reminds me of my college years when Latino student organizations just fought with each other instead of working together in support of the common cause. Must be in our blood....pride, machismo, alcohol or what ever it is.....we are always fighting. Dodger Stadium, HDC, college parties or quinceaneras......you name the venue and there is always trouble involving our raza.

i agree that people in some social movements who pertain to the same cause do fight and share differences..but u are straight out generalizing an entire people here......:(

i would love to respond to that ! the things that happen at the game are between two people its a personal matter that has been carried on to the stadium with it should have nevered happened but it did . I am speaking as a member of the legion 1908 and not as a gang member like most of you think we are one thing you guys wont under stand is that the legion is not your regular fans or your porra somos hinchas de deportivo guadalajara and no we don't need to be in argentina to be a hincha we support chivas usa but we are not the official supporters group of them and will never be the things between the ultras and legion are personal that needed to be taken care of chivas usa front offices tried to to fix it but just made it worst and for the most part security has made harder on us just to be there the legion has been there since day one . we walked out because security kick out a member for no reason just because we were singing & chanting that's why we all walked out in solidarity

sorry comrades but i just had to say something here..lol
where you at the last chivas usa game with the legion? if you were then you most likely took part in the chanting of "no se escucha nada esa banda..etc.." at the direction of the union ultras..i was right next to you guys when that one guy was asked to get off the railing by security..he ignored them and maybe thats why he got kicked out..i would like to see the legion and our group get along..its true games are more exciting when groups like yours are there..so plz squash whatever it is makes you come to the south end of the stadium and chant at us..it serves no purpose to do so...

dale chivas and chivas usa! :D

there is no pity party here.. just the way i see it. my opinion just like you have yours.
i just get tired of all the negative comments regarding the legion.
I am a legionaria. will be until the day I die.
I have chivas in my blood and the colors in my heart!

nobody here is questioning your chiva pride..just questioning why you would march and chant negative things to a fellow cdcusa supporter group..i just dont get it:confused:

i am not going to sit here and vet myself because dealing with kids like you is not worthwhile, but i will say this . . . maybe things have changed but where i grew up in van nuys only punks needed numbers to fight and real men weren't afraid to go one on one. that being said, i am a member of the riot squad, and i was there that night and nothing was done to provoke a fight. unless you were there don't comment. and if you were, you would know who i was because i was one of 5 - 10 LARS guys that held off about 40 - 50 legion punks.

please give me one example of when LARS people were racist? to further show you are talking out of your ass, you realize that probably 1/3 of our memeber are latino? hell i am a mexican citizen with pocho children . . . I AM RACIST? against who?

do your homework before you talk, and only talk about what you know first hand.

I was actually in Guadalajara last time for the game against Atlas and it's kind of funny to see how some of the comments here reflect the sentiment there.

Most of the people that I had the chance to talk to in Guadalajara, and some of the comments I've seen on Mexican internet forums really mirror this conversation so far. Legion (MX) tries so hard to be bad ass and mimic what Argentine barras do that they often start shit just for the sake of it.

The overall consensus seems to be that while Legion's contributions are appreciated and very much enjoyable, the bullshit that they generate is often not worth the hassle. After that game (a victory for Guadalajara) a group of Atlas kids were shot a few blocks from the stadium.

Also, while the Columbus debacle is fresh, if somebody translated Chivas' chants for MLS I think there'd be a serious issue. The amount of racist / homophobic content in Legion's chants is troubling.

u say we arent faithfull where were the ultras in 2005? huh?
someone tell me that? when the team was down i dont remember seeing any ultras on the other side of the stadium!
u guys complain about violence look if u arent willing to fight for your team then u dont really love them! are u willing to fight for your mother? for your gf/wife? yes cuz u love them? are u willing to fight for your team?? think about that? soccer is violent! think about it! every country in the world has fans that fight! u have russian hooligans, english hooligans, korean, indian, african, barras bravas in souther and centeral america! why note here? the mls and the support groups in the mls would not be were they are if it werent for the legion! i remember when the smoke was thrown on the field and member from other suupport groups were giving us props! why cuz thats the kind of passion they wish they had!

You're an idiot. <Mod edit, yeah I know the bad words in spanish?> Soccer isn't violent. Dumb********s are violent. Stupid ass little kids that wish they could play and think that mistake the jumping of other fans as passion, are violent. Montoneros, fake-ass gangsters, and dumbshits that have nothing better to do are violent. Its people like you that give the Legion and Barras generally bad names. Its people like you that keep soccer from being as popular as it could be in this country. Does it make you feel like a bad-ass when you and 5 of your friends beat up a rival fan? Do you feel cool because you take someone's scarf or shirt? That makes you a real man? Lol. You're a joke.

if that doesn't personify the naco mindset, i don't know what does.

to answer the naco's question . . . no i am not willing to fight for my team, nor should any decent person. does that make me a whimp, not even close. does that make me afraid or less of a fan? no. it just shows that i am civilized. this post is a perfect example of what is wrong with sports today.

btw, LARS (and all other supporter groups) were strong before la legion got involved with the MLS, and will be long after la legion stops being involved with the MLS. reason being, once the MLS realizes that this kind of mindset is bad for the league, don't expect to be welcome in the stadium.

Though I could care less what happens with you two SG, I just want to ask one question...

Your friend/fellow member could not handle himself against a union ultra in the bathroom? So since he got his ass handed to him he went crying to his friends/fellow members to go retaliate against "him"? As you put it "they" went looking for him... why didn't you go? What happen with the "we" mentality you portray? This is gonna be a great book/movie someday. Funny but great.

responding to a post is not starting shit. i regularly post in this forum and read my posts, i am not a touble starting troll. but if i read the kind of ignorance that this fool put up, i am going to say something because it has no place in the MLS or sports in general.

This thread is awesome.

It also proves everyone's worst opinions about the situation and for anyone to deny there is a "problem" is pretty much the same as saying the world is flat.

IIRC the shooting happened in La Colonia Miravalle which is not anywhere close to where Estadio Jalisco is. the wife's family lives in Miravalle and we've been there at least once a year for a week at a time.

That's the excuse FMF used to wash their hands in the matter, and that's exactly makes the point an even more troubling one. This "barra" mentality went beyond far beyond the vicinity of the stadium.

I'm not sure about that. they have come hard on some SG's in Mexico in the past. it could've been just some drunks driving by the Atlas fans. Also, you made this comment...

I'm not a big Chiva fan but I believe La Legion has a non-violence clause in their Charter. and I haven't heard any news about fights involving their SG in Mexico.but I could be wrong.
