The CM4 Bargain Basement

I couldn't find another board to post this on, but I just started a game of CM4 with Wigan, and am looking to see if anybody can tell me any good, young players to buy cheap (under 1mn Euro) that are willing to go to a 2nd (now 1st after my promotion) divison side?

Just to help others out, the following are great buys:

Ivan Bosnjak - FC - 23yrs (about 300,000 Euro) & Willing to play in the 2nd div
Mark Kerr - MC - 20yrs (150,000 Euro should do it) & willing to play in the 2nd div
Alexander Farnerud - AM LRC - 18 yrs (about 1.6mn Euro should do it), won't play in the 2nd div or for worse 1st div teams
Kim Kallstrom - AM C - 19yrs (about 1.8mn Euro should do it), won't play in the 2nd div or for worse 1st div teams
Mikel Dorsin - DM C - 22yrs (about 1mn Euro), won't play in the 2nd div or for worse 1st div teams
Andreas Isaksson - GK - 21yrs (about 1.5-to-2mn Euro), won't play in the 2nd div or for worse 1st div teams
Mark Bosnich - GK - 30yrs, BUT a good, experienced goalie and willing to play in the 2nd div! And he's FREE!

James McFadden is a quality versatile front player, can play just about any attacking position on both sides of the park but it is hard getting motherwell to accept a bid for him, get shaun maloney on loan for a season or two from celtic as well, great young players.

Mikael Arteta (Rangers) is great midfielder too, has a min. release of £3.1M i think. I also have James McFadden as well, motherwell wouldn't sell him for more than 3M, so I ended up paying 3.1M...bastards. It was worth it, scored many goals as my Super Sub. I play him in the 'free role'.

Modou Kah = Class, I play him as a holding mid, or Right Back if I'm short.

Freddy Adu - if you don't play a British league get him, if you do forget it because of WP issues
Olisadebe (Poland)
Joe Cole - if West Ham get relegated, which they seem to do in the first season
Barry Ferguson - Sometimes you can get him at a decent price if Rangers are in debt, they never make the CL

I don't have Roman's riches with Chelsea because I started this game before EP5 so I had to sell Jimmy and Eidur, but I got like 19M for both.

Alpay of Aston Villa is old, but he can provide cheap defensive cover at CB for a few seasons.

Snatch up John Welsh from Liverpool and wait a few seasons, wow.

Ibrahim Said is young and versatile.

I keep him as a right back but let him overlap and run with the ball, his crosses from deep are often devastating despite his crossing attribute not being all that spectacular, he amount of goals he has set up for me is brilliant for a right back.

marlon from some brazilian team. he is a 15yr old defender in the beginning of the game. he shoul dbe a complete defender by age 17.

Never tried that before with him. I usually put William Gallas at DR with forward runs. I rotate Kah in and out of the squad he still plays all the matches and all 90 mins for Norway. Same with Alex Farnerud (AM F/L/C), I play him maybe every 1 in 3 or 4 games and he starts for sweden at Striker with H. Larsson. Crazy swedish manager.

But you guys should try Olisadebe and Kallstrom. Especially Olisadebe...look at his physical stats, they're fantastic.

I agree about Mido. I got him for pretty cheap when you compare him to other strikers, and he gets two goals every three matches for me.

I wish Mancini was cheap, he usually costs between 6 and 10 million, sometimes going down to 4.5 but sometimes upwards of 12 - 15.
