In honor of our Grassroots movement - I just wanted to show you this clip and open up this thread for Grassroots stories
As some of you might know - i used to be a shareholder for Manchester United - when Glazer took over I had to sell them. The Takeover was not taken well by many fans of the Club as they were against the foreign ownership - so they brokaway and did a grassroots movement and started a new club - which has done nothing but draw fans and be promoted! They are called FC United of Manchester - they are low down in the British Football Pyramid (unibond league) but moving up! They just got promoted via playoffs to the Unibond Premier League - which is two steps away from Conference and three away from the football league!!!
When I sold my shares there were so may taxes and stuff to get the money - i decided to keep my money in the pot and give it to this club - i am considered a founding member of this club! Even though I still Love United - I totally respect what these fans did as I probably can not understand what they felt, being I was born here!
Anyway - here is a club for them and look at the fan base on the 8th teir of English football!
