SW Suburbs of Chicago, Naperville
Saturday....August 30 2:30pm. I was reborn. I walked into the Soccer Post store and saw tons of football club kits (Barca, Man Utd, Columbus Crew, DC Utd, Real Madrid, Ajax, NUFC, Chicago Fire and finally Arsenal, YES! Found a size that fit, tried it on to make sure, and then PURE BLISS!!!!!
Now I truly feel a part of the glorious history/legend that is Arsenal football and also connected with all of you wonderful fellow Gunners.
P.S. My English friend (HUGE Arsenal fan) was there to witness this life changing event. Afterword, he told me about when he got his 1st Arsenal kit. Ahhh, good times over Ruddles County, Old Speckled Hen, and Tetley's!!!

Nice. Yuo get the Red or the Yellow?
The Yellow one is looking tempting. It's a vast improvement over the "Pepsi can" blue from last year.

Congrats! I remember how thrilled I was when I finally got my DB10 shirt from Kitbag. I'm now debating getting a yellow away one just because I love the look with the collar.

I got a plain red and white kit. No name or number on it...boo hoo! I really wanted an Henry one, but this was much cheaper and faster to obtain.
I like the yellow and blue with the collar too. The traditional away kit. The gold ones were pretty sweet too.

I got the new yellow with TH14 and the real thing looks better than in pictures.

I'm telling my mom to get me a TH14 long sleeve away jersey for my b-day. So i have to wait until the end of October.

The new away jersey is growing on me. I think I'll get one during my next trip to London.
Unfortunately, I may have to wait. We're a family of four supporters (including my wife and two children). I got the new (at the time) home jersey last season. My son still has the old home jersey (Dreamcast) and my wife doesn't have one yet. She argues that they're due for new ones before me.

I'll also suggest getting the premier patches when getting a shirt with name/number. It really looks fantastic. I ordered mine from soccerbox.com. Very fast delivery time and the shipping is the actual shipping cost. You also qualify for a 10% discount if you sign up on his email list.

Getting your first Arsenal jersey is always a joy. I can still remember when I recieved my Sega gold away jersey last year. Got a deal for the home jersey and just recently recieved the new yellow jersey with Ljungberg on the back w/FA patches.
It looks 100% better than the online pics.

I wouldn't recommend ironing on the name and number yourself since they are large and are best done professionally with a large heat press. As for the patches, they can be done with an iron at home by just eye balling the approx. location. But again, the best results are when the extras are ordered with the shirt.

Welcome to the Gunners, my man! I got my first Arsenal kit and immediately went to England to see my Gunners. It's pride. I've now got almost the entire team's shirts. I love the new yellows... I've just gotten my TH14.

I can't believe we have such a big following in the USA. I feel sorry for you guys not being able to go to matches often though.

Man Utd and Liverpool already have huge international support. The Gunners are next to dominate the world. Chicago has tons of Arsenal supporters, lots of Chicago Gunners post on here. Mike Horkan, check out ArsenalAmerica.com and if you are ever in the US, you know that you have a mate in every major city!

Frankly, I don't think you can be a true Gunner unless you have made the trip to Highbury.
Although I support Newcastle, I've seen five matches at Highbury. Even Mrs. Toon has been to a match in North London and she is just a casual observer.

Have a couple thousand dollars that you don't plan on using anytime soon?? If so, please donate to the Arsenal America Send A College Student To Highbury Fund. :)

Hope this don;t mean you stopped supporting MLS and the Fire :)
My first Arsenal jersey was the 99/00 away yellow jersey (no Sega sponsor) in s/s size XXL, no patches or anything
does anyone know where the old FA patches can be purchased? The EPL has new blasted FA patches this year :(

I've got a few shirts. (The Dreamcast goalkeeper and Friedel ones belong to my girlfriend, the goalkeeper nut and Blackburn supporter. Oh well, nobody's perfect...)
My spare gold one (given as a gift from a buddy) and red and white are blank on back-- the red and white is getting Bergkamp's name and number, and the spare gold? PARLOUR 15. Hey, I like the guy!
I totally need the new yellow away kit, it looks great. Probably will get Pires' name and number on the back. I've wanted a Dreamcast home jersey for ages, but can't find one in XXL.
Oh, and that Brazil kit? A gift from my mom, who's teaching down there. It'll get GILBERTO 8 the next time I have the cash to send it over to subside, along with the rest. ;)
