City wants Hughes, we better act...

Is Scolari already starting the mind games with Sir Rednose,
"Scolari seems to believe that he [The Step-over gravity challenged Punk] should move to Real Madrid, a chance of a lifetime.
"We have been talking a lot, as I have been an older friend and have given him some advics," Scolari said. "Football does not live off memories, football is oportunities and sometimes if we do not take them, they won't appear a second time.""

Scolari is growing on me, I could give him a go though not my first couple of choices, we could and might very well do worse:(
He sounds a bit mysterious not the usual no from him...hmm.
"If someday I take a decision, before or after a competition, I will let the president know. I have not taken a decision, I have decided to work until the end of Euro 2008."

Seriously - how much of a chance did you think it would be of Jose coming back anyway?

We're football fans... what kind of crazy talk is THAT??? :D
Anyhooo.... what I don't understand about all this is that RA apparently wants attacking football with bags of flair and yet we're looking at a number of Italian managers???
I know the days of an Italian league won on boring 1-0 matches is largely gone but, come on.... it's still not attacking, flair football, is it. Even in it's wildest moments nobody could accuse it of being THAT!!!
Like many others, I'd like to see Hughes given the job. His Blackburn side have usually done well and the his Wales side did OK, (certainly when compared to the current fella), taking Wales from one of the worst sides in International football to almost qualifying for the euros last time. I think part of the reason for that is because the players respect someone like him.

interseting that heard nothing about Clarke today...
AC claiming Ancelotti and another Italian are top of the list for us, how convienient.
as for the rest, I am reaching the same stage as yasik- lets just get it over with.

Why not Bruckner?
Long in the tooth, does not speak English but tbh I'd take him well ahead of the Milan pretenders or frankie the fountain, think he is quality and plays pleasing football, can aurgue he has underacheived a bit in the end though I suppose
