...No.. Ringo, is a fighter in that position. His low center of gravity allows him to be an annoying 'bee' 5, ala Serna. JCE and Guarin as you noticed are offensive 5 type of MFs...hence, why you saw JCE and Guarin so close to the opposing 18. You would rarely, or ever see Amaya in that place... He's Vargas, with more speed and with less yellow and red cards.

soy colombiano amo a a colombia por encima de millos, aunque a mi millos tambn lo adoro, segundo no soy desagradecido y al ringo solo lo defiendo, por q digamso mi papa, mi hermano, y ustedes son unos desagardecidos con amaya, creame q no hablaria tan bn del tipo si la mayoria de ustedes fueran mas racionales y ademas el futbol es de resultados.............vargas q ha hecho pa ganarse un puesto jugando en la seleccion?

It has nothing to do with being a Millos fan and having hatred for the midget. I'm a Millos fan and I like Zuniga and Velez on the NT. Pep and 1544 have a different view of a DM. A guy that sits WAY back, goal side, passes side to side or back and kicks only at the ankles :p

no way sysco. If you're going to have 3 defensive type of MF...1 HAS to stay back... and should support the defensive line. The other MFs should play both defense and set-up... Let's not forget the dum thing Mr Escobar and Mr Guarin did today as well.

I hear you bro, but the ENANO is not for me. I don't think 1 DM HAS to stay back, I do think that the DM's have to support each other and I cant remember Guarin being completely out of position either. Sure Guarin lost the ball some and had a couple bad passes, but on the other hand Guarin contributed to the attack and beat more players and made more runs than the midget has done in all of the qualifiers put together.

We should agree to disagree on what a DM should be my friend :)

I dont know guys, Guarin shut down alot of Irish plays. He sent it right back up field whenever the ball was taken out of our box. He showed some gambeta too, crossing up a few Irish players. His passes were very precise, which is something Ringo never does. He played great defensively, and was the last man back in the midfield almost the whole game. I really liked the way he played today, and i think the reason we played great most of that game was because he was a rock.

LOL, your comparing Amaya with these players. Thats why these teams can use just 1 DM because of the quality of the players you mention.

Do you think we play with 1 DM? Do you think we use Sanchez and Escobar as wingers? No we use 3. Well what ever like I said to lsfr we have 2 diffent views of a DM.

The midget does NOTHING going forward. ALL the players you mention can still contribute to the attack, o no.

Guarin could be world class. I think he is definitely should be giving serious consideration as #5 but let not forget Ringo Amaya has been playing well. We should be grateful to have several players capable of playing a position.
