Anyone feel its just not there?
Maybe its just me, but I think picking two unperturbed and wholesome countries as co-hosts has led to a downfall in the excitement that usually accompanies the lead up to the actual tournament. Portuguese news was recently in Geneva, which will host 3 games, and as the reporter noted, there was absolutely no sign anyhwere that it would be hosting one of the biggest sports tournaments in the world.
Frankly, I'm dissapointed...

I am getting the buzz of a major Tourney. Even TSN is showing classic matches.

I don't know about the hosts and anyone else, but I live in LA and I got tickets for 3 games.
I can't wait.
All I do is look for tournament previews online and on TV as well as reviews from previous Euros!
I'm the one with the severe fever and I can't get enough!

I watch the previews on TV too. ESPN has the 'Euro 2008 preview' shows with players and history of the teams in the EURO. On Rai international channel the news covers the training.
Which ones do you see online?
I see the Viseu Portugal training on http://ww1.rtp.pt/desporto/?headline=37&visual=17&Top=21, player press conferences http://euro2008.sapo.pt/multimedia/videos/euro_2008/
For France, l'equipe.fr has videos of the player press conferences, www.lequipe.fr/Football/MSN_page_video.php?GUID=c8ea8b57-1bbc-4848-bcad-f6c1cf542117&site=equipe (http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/MSN_page_video.php?GUID=c8ea8b57-1bbc-4848-bcad-f6c1cf542117&site=equipe)

I thought those of you who might not have tickets might be interested in this- If you live in or around NYC The Village Pourhouse will be airing every single game on 21 HDTV's with the sound on and they even have International beers & drink specials to coordinate with the teams that are playing. They're right down the block from Nevada Smith's (the big soccer bar) which is going to no doubt be packed. I think I'll be heading over to the Pourhouse for some of the games! Here's the write-up that I found:
Calling all Soccer Fans!

Because England haven't qualified I had not really been feeling very excited about this tournament until now. For some reason an unbelievable level of excitement has hit me now, the sort that I normally get when I'm off to a major tournament, and I just want to jump up and down.
I cannot wait to get to Basle on Saturday!

I just go to youtube and type Eurocup previews.
I also can't get enough of the "Destination Vienna" series on Setanta.

This is the first time I'll be watching a major soccer tournament in the usa so it feels a little strange, and its not in your face 24/7. Should still be good though, plan on watching games in local pubs around the city. How did some people get tickets? I applied for this tournament and the world cup in 2002 and lost the lottery trying to get tickets for germany.

Hey guys. I'm curently out here working at the stadium in Zürich, and we're really starting to get excited. I met Swiss legend Alain Sutter the other day, and have met a few British journalists already. I've even made the local newspaper and been interviewed by Finnish television.
Anyway, for a shameless plug, you can read my Euro2008 updates at http://zurich.joewesthead.com - it's nothing but my experiences at the tournament
