Gladbach signed 39 year old goalie veteran Claus Reitmaier as free transfer from Wolfsburg. Reason is the four to six weeks injury break for starting goalie Jörg Stiel.

Bochum signed the first Brazilian in their club history. It's 21 year old left backer and central defender Edu from Nautico; he's a free loan.
