What clubs do you support?? Why?

Well first and foremost I'm West Ham. I will choose West Ham over any club. (I even have the hammers tatted on my chest). I got into them cuz my father-in-law is from Braintree, Essex, England. Started watching west ham, then it became my relgion.

Domestic- RBNY - Only until NYCFC

Spain- Ateltico Madrid - I have always hated real madrid, and i hate barcelona. Plus i was always a fan of torres from back when.

Italy- Lazio - PAOLO DI CANIO!

France- Olympique Lyonnais - Don't know why, but i saw them play and started watching them.

pretty much the only leagues i watch.

Celtic FC {Scotland} . My Father is from the east end of Glasgow. Nuff said

St .Pauli{Germany} Close ties with Celtic. And i won't go into the politics

West Ham {England} Again, when they asked all the season ticket holders in England who they rooted for in Scotland the 2 biggest supports were Man U & West Ham for Celtic . Been a fan ever since.

AC Milan {Italy} One man Paolo Maldini . That and i can't stand Inter

Red Bulls , till the NYC team comes

Im first and foremost United! Im not one of those fans either - I was a huge Eric Cantona supporter - so when he moved from Leeds to United, I kept following him - then watching United, Cantona, Mark Hughes. Paul Ince, Gary Pallister, and the Young player of the year that season - Ryan Giggs!! ha ha - kind of loved them and it has become obsessive history since!

Secondly - USMNT - Im amerian born

Watch a lot of other leagues but I root for Napoli - because the town I am from is an hour south of Napoli!

Ajax because i love that CITY!!!

MLS - I root for the League - I want the game to succeed in this country - Of course i want to see the RB do well, but the league as a whole is what i really want to succeed!

NYC - Cosmos (lol) Yes I know, the nyc team when it arrives (this will never change)

Argentina - Velez Sarsfield (this will never change)

Italy - Inter, Fiorentina, Napoli

Germany - Bayern Munich

England - West Ham, Man U

France - Marseille, Bordeaux

Spain - Barcelona

National Teams - Argentina and Usa (my heart is torn 50% 50%) (this will never change)

Everything else is up for grabs. They change depending on who might be playing for the teams.

Chelsea FC - I got into football after the 2006 world cup, the first game I watched after that was the community shield between Liverpool and Chelsea. Chelsea lost so I went with them :) thank god the game wasnt between Cardiff and Derby or something like that.

thats really it except for the USMNT, other than that I have some rooting interests to keep things interesting but that changes based on myriad reasons.

I'm never one to support 15 clubs, one from each country or anything, so my list is short . . .

1. The team across the Hudson. ;)
2. Fulham FC (yes, even after the Americans leave!)

I dont really support any clubs(until NY2)although I root for Fulham to do well. The only team I support is the US Nats.

My club that I "support" is RBNY. They are my hometown club that I have supported since MLS started when I was only 4 years old.

My other favorite clubs are:
Napoli- mom is from there

Red Star Belgrade or Partizan (Serbia)-dad grew up there as a Partizan supporter so I have to give in to him a little on this one lol

In the EPL I dont really have a favorite but if I had to pick it would be Man U because of my man Vidic.

Liverpool - Been supporting them since 1995, I fell in love with the team's history when a friend introduced me to them.

USA Naturally, I always support the US Team


Real Salt Lake- originally my 2nd favorite when it started (NY/NJ MetroStars were first). Then the Red Bull takeover happened and RSL became #1. Plus I'm LDS too, so there's a little connection there.
NYC-FC (once the team is formed) I still plan to support RSL alongside NYC.

Europe: Scotland (proud member of the Tartan Army)


Rangers- discovered them a few years ago and have been supporting them ever since. It was through Rangers, which led me to the Tartan Army and cheering on Scotland.

There are more out there, but I'll keep it short for now. :cool:

Dundee Football Club... I'm a 3rd Generation supporter ( from a family that now has 5 Generations of support for the club )

I am a fan of

Liverpool FC ( it was King Kenny's club )

I sort of follow Toronto in MLS mainly because they are the one club who never played the Metros (RIP)

For me...

Spain- I like Real Madrid, i'm not sure really why, i watch a few of their matches during the day, and i just started to follow them.

England- Manchester United all the way, my favorite club over all in any league.

MLS- It would have to be the LA Galaxy, kind of the same reason as real madrid, i like Landon Donovan, and after a National team game, i got online and looked up what team he played for, and since then i've followed them.

Then i like the US Mens National Team, not the best but getting better for sure.
