anyway it sems Austria is very dangerous at corners. i think their only chance to score will be from such an action. but then again Croatia can also score 2 or more goals on counter-attack.

Halftime 1-0 in favor of Croatia. Austria really picked it up towards the end of the half though. They also look pretty threatening on free kicks. Should be an interesting 2nd half.

Austria doesn't deserve to be behind, and Croatia does not look good at all. Seriously, I thought Austria was a joke. But the way they're playing, they're not bad. Maybe Croatia is playing so badly that it makes the Austrians look okay. But Croatia will definitely not go anywhere in this tournament by playing like this.

Well....

This has HUGE impact on the group (captain obvious here :D).

If Austria gets a miracle draw (or rather a fluky one) Germany and Poland go through... :p

It would be nice to see Austria turn this around. It would be like Korea / Japan where everyone thought Japan would go far and Korea wouldn't even make it out of the group stages. But it was Korea who, albeit some controversial circumstances, went all the way to the semis while Japan went out after round two. If Austria go through and Switzerland don't - it would be a similar reversal of fortune.

Germany is better than Croatia. You cannot compare. The way Croatia is playing, they will not be kicking ANYONE'S butts.

Pogetetz should have been sent off, sure. But then look at the undeserved penalty given against them. What about that? Things happens. And the ref probbably realized he made a foolish mistake before and did not want to further harm the Austrians, who were supposed to be destroyed by the Croatians anyways.

Croatia haven't and couldn't do anything right after that penalty. I am disappointed by their display, however. I thought they would be a legitimate dark horse. This game looks like it will end 1-0 to Croatia. Winning against Austria on a dubious penalty ain't something to be proud of, ever.
