If this weren't on a weekday afternoon, I'd be over at Mother Egan's. But since it is, I'm going to go to the place closest to where I work. Which is Third Base (http://www.thirdbaseaustin.com/), on 6th just off Mopac (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=1717+West+6th+Street+Austin&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=55.455479,67.324219&ie=UTF8&ll=30.276256,-97.765424&spn=0.007477,0.008218&z=17&iwloc=addr).
Game time is 2pm.
Here's hoping that this team puts on a better show than our Olympic prep team did.
Hope to see some of y'all there!

I've only watched live matches at Fado's Irish pub on west 4th street. Have you ever been to Fado's, I want to know how it compares to the place you mentioned. But than again, I'm only 16 so its not like I'm able to get around pubs easily, they don't even let me buy the food at fado's :(
thanks!
I'm also a new Aztec fan, so I'll probably lurk this forum more. I had never been into USL soccer before, but I'm just starting out how big and broad it is, and its actual importance in the careers of amateurs, which is important when your still 16!

I like ME's better than Fado. At Fado, there's too much crap in the way...columns and walls and crap that add to the atmosphere but make it hard to see tvs from different parts of the pub.

You might also try Plucker's. Although not a traditional pub, they have lots of TV's that are hi def, and enough in quantity so you can watch the match. I go to their RR store to watch matches (i.e. Champions League final, the upcoming Spain v. Russia Euro match). They've got beer, wings, deep fried cheese. What more do you need? Additionally, since it's a restaurant, there's no worries about under 21.

Speaking of which, there's another game today, Spain - US, 4pm, ESPN2. But I'm swamped at work. Besides, I'm not really interested in taking off early to watch a repeat of last week.

The 4:30 showing is a repeat, that starts as soon as the match is over. The live match is being shown on ESPN360 (which naturally, I don't get). I was thinking about watching it, only because I have Spain winning the Euro2008 tournament in a final against Germany.

I actually have a friend that works at pluckers haha. Are they picky about ages at ME?
