so the euro 2008 will start in aproximately 11 days...
how do you guys think our stars(chelsea FC) will do during the euro?.
the likes of ballack, cech, anelka, makelele, malouda, carvalho, ferreira, and new boy bosingwa are the players that are competing from our club.
who do do you think will stand out,and maybe even lift the cup for their country?

I think Portugal may win the thing.

Hey mods, can we change the thread title to Euro 2008 and just keep it for all the scores and discussions of the tournament. thanks

I don't know what Domenech was inhaling when he decided to leave Trezeguet out. Had a great season for Juve. Glad to see Frey is called up though.

Most unjust and head-scratching snub I've ever seen. In general though I'm rooting against the french (Sorry dude but I'm kinda Italian) so I guess not having Trezegol to deal with will help out the Azzuri

LOL....Anelka is still in Moscow!!!!

He just slipped on the grass missing out on a perfect scoring opportunity for France a few minutes ago on a 1 on 1 situation V Ecuador.

Because my nationalities of Irish and English are out. Robben remains one of my favorite players and orange is my favorite color. I have a soft spot for Sweden because they have so many likeable players (Ibra, Ljungberg was the only Arse player I could stand for so long, Kallstrom, Mellberg) and play the game the right way. I have some Germany heritage and they also play the game fairly for the most part. I also enjoy the Bundlesliga over La Liga and Serie A.

I am rooting against Spain because of general disdain for Liverpool, and frankly I don't like overly-flamboyant cultures (Italy). Annoying fans is one thing that pisses me off and Portugal, Italy, and Turkey fans have done that for me.

Um...

I have little to no interest in International football when Dear ol' England gets of it's duff and manages to qualify.

So....

In that light, I'll go with who I most definitely don't want to see win it.

#1..France ('nuff said)

#2..Germany (the amount of bollocks about Ballack and Lampard is bad enough right now)

#3..Croatia (I'm a sore loser)

#4..Spain ( Liverpool in disguise)

#5..Netherlands..(Poster named Neeskens has turned me off them)

#6..Italy..(Moaning, diving, foreign gits!)

#7..Austria..(too close to Germany, see #2)

#8..Poland (childhood bitterness, see #3)

#9..Sweden (always makes me think of Ljungberg and Arsenal)

#10..Romania (the Mutu fiasco)

#11..Switzerland (flipin part-timers knocked us out of the UEFA cup)

#12..Turkey..(I prefer chicken, too dry)

#13..Greece..(we should have won the last time!)

#14..Czech Republic..(actually, wouldn't mind seeing them win, but had to put them somewhere)

#15..Portugal..(hope they go out early, keep our lads fresh for more important football)

#16..Russia (Roman..'nuff said :))

Now come on Clan, I'm offended deeply.:p

Will agree about the Dutch, Neeskens has a chip on her shoulder so big that I'm wondering if we can see it from space. I'm also wondering if she took to heart of my suggestion for her to date Platini as they'd hit it off.

My family can never understand why I hate turkey for that reason.

i'd kinda be the same but only since the lad i work with from Milan (die hard inter) was genuinely rooting for Chelsea this year after Inter got knocked out.

fair enough in my book.

Go Poland!!

If we happen to get knocked out, I want Russia or Croatia to take it, and I want Portugal and Italy out.
