Strong and quick, Rio Ferdinand is one of the greatest defenders to hail the Premiership. He makes Fernando Torres cry and he will easily murk Steven Gerrard and he doesn’t need Vidic’s help. John Terry spends every night dreaming he could be as good as Rio and Carvalho personally calls him every night for defending tips. Oh how I wish we had a defender that was as good as Rio.

John Terry was only made England captain for the upcoming international because Capello knew Ferdinand was the one for the future, felt sorry for Terry, and loved what John had done with his hair.

Not much can be done unfortunately, AllezChelsea is too much of a cheapskate to subscribe for the big icon (he also sells death to kids, but you never heard it from me), so I just went with a Rio profile picture.

Rio is one of the best central defenders in the world. End of story. I would compare terry more to vidic and i'd still take vidic. Rio though is the player madrid fans hope ramos will become :) oh no wait..he's on his way to old trafford lol
