Telling the truth is no excuse for poor tact. No one asked him about Beckham; the question was how he rated Rooney. Georgie made a dig at Beckham unnecessarily and without provocation - it just shows how Best continues to make poor choices this year.

Anyway, not major news that needs to be discussed but it just isn't the sort of comment I like to hear from a United star. Not that he cares what I think though lol

He didn't really criticize Beckham all that much though, he just said he was never that impressed with Beckham in order to show that he doesn't fawn over "flavor of the day" footballers.

I can see in Rooney why Bestie prefers him anyways. He's a throwback player in a lot of ways. Becks is alot of flash, and while I think he has some skills (crossing, free kicks, etc.) that should include him in discussions about elite players, it doesn't suprise me that the old school views him the way alot of them do...

Bestie does need to get his own act together though...

Who knows, if Becks continues to philander, he may get more respect from Bestie.

While no one was watching, Malcolm Glazer increased his share in Man United to 19.17%. Cue takeover rumors once more.

All just say what I always do in this situation: It would be better than M&M.

What do u guys think is best for the club in the long run... being privately owned or the PLC

I know the PLC is supposed to give the fans/public more say, however - how much say is it really? When we say, go out and ********ing buy Lucio, Davids or Ballack do they do it? No.. I know that it is possibly more prudent to be owned by a PLC, but what are the benefits of it vs. the cons...

I am not saying we should become Chelsea or Real Madrid, but dammit we dont have to offer half of what Robben is worth? or let Barca get Ronnaldinho... can anyone imagine Ronnaldinho and Ronaldo on the same bloody team?

The problem is that many of the people owning shares own them for economic reasons rather than because they are fans of the club. If 51%+ of the shares were to be spread up amongst a couple of thousand people that really valued the team, our transfer market dealings would no doubt be more adventurous.

Isaw that one too. I was suprised by it. I can't imagine how serious they could be without him having more of a CV.

He looked a step off-pace for most of the season. Hopefully the op will see him return to the form of his previous debut season this year.....

Seems that deal for rooney could be put on hold until he recovers form injury. The club's insurers won't let MU sign him if Rooney cannot pass a medical.

Just go away.

I would usually say contribute something useful or go away, but you've proven incapable of the former.
