Great news....now, if he can be deployed in a more forward/attacking position, that will be even better.

You all need to look at that free kick again. It was sent to Lampard by using a static IP address.

What in the name of Samuel T Satan does this mean?

I think he means with amazing accuracy... or to a specific spot.. that my best guess...

Good news about Scholes... he needs to join the attack more as was noted, but i like him playing centrally too... If Owen sucks again then I say play Scholes as the withdrawn striker and then play a very attacking 4-4-1-1 bringing in Hargreeves to play the left flank. We would then have 4 capable tacklers in the midfield and we would dominate possesion once more and this time hopefully hold on in the end...

We missed Rio this season more than Beckham - period.

I would have rather had Ronaldo than Beckham on the right in alot of matches this season as well.

Apparently Ferguson thought that by reducing the average age of the squad and reloading at certain positions was more imortant than keeping a veteran player who was more frequently a bigger distraction than anything else. He wanted to go to Real Madrid. He was sold. Maybe Fergie's relationship with Beckham was a factor in his decision to sell, but Beckam's relationship with Fergie was also a factor in him wanting to leave. It's a two way street.

Now, off to the Arsenal and Chelski boards with you.... Precisely. When SAF decided to re-up his contract, he new he'd have to bring in a new/younger generation. IMHO, Becks was missed, despite Ronaldo's good performance for the season. But clearly the difference between winning and finishing 3rd in the league was Rio. With Rio nobody could consistently score on the deense and Manchester United was top of the league. Without Rio the team looked ordinary. Of course, Ruud's slump didn't help either.

I predict that Manchester United will win the Premiership next season. There are several areas where injuries could be problematic, but the core of greatness is clearly there, and the spine of the team is excellent.

Nice to have u back Digi... where u been man? Its been awhile... by the by.. well said... and if u think injuries could be problematic to us, picture a RW injury to Arsenal or a Striker Injury to the same squad... I think while we have our soft spot, we are well above average in terms of having a deep squad, and well... we all know how we rotate our players to help prevent said injuries - though it did not work last season...

3 cheers for digital - i think the first non-manc to openly come out and acknowledge us as supreme rulers of the universe, umm... i mean Prem champs of the upcoming season.

I'd feel better about spending a bit more for him than he's worth, simply because:

A) We need a defender badly right now
B) We've already been after him, so it's not an "impulse" or desparation buy
C) He wants to play for us very much

Do the deal Mr. Kenyon.

I don't know if they want to spend any more money until (or if) we qualify for the Champs League though....

What about Trabalesi from Ajax is SAF thinking about him will Escude if he comes play a major role in Man U success

About nicky but what will happen to him is he still going to contribute ManU and about the injury how long will it last

I don't think we'll see Nicky Butt in the Euros... and the Henry "Nike" commercial may be the last we see of him in a United kit....

Robben is claiming that he chose Chelsea because they're a club on the rise.

Well I'm glad he subscribes to the "Harry Kewell" school of thought.

I just wanted to remind you all, what you miss by letting Becks go.I made the comparison btn the two because there are people here who say to hell with Becks.

Beckham's form suffered the final two years he played for United. He didn't show the drive and determination to win and succeed with United. It was glaringly obvious whenever you saw him play for England. He was always running and doing more for England than when he would put on United colours... And to further back up this observation, he says as much here...

LISBON (AFP) - David Beckham has revealed that winning Euro 2004 with England would mean more to him than any of his individual or club honours, including the treble of League, Cup and Champions League titles he won with Manchester United in 1999.

That is fine David, we understand that wanting to win honours for your country is important to our international players, but don't put them above United.

It's too bad you had to learn the hard way....

Are you implying that England won't win the Euro Champs? :(

But the stupid git hasn't learned, has he? He was a jackass his last season at United (and he's probably the same at Real) but he was *rewarded* for it with (a) continued captaincy of England, (b) a fat contract from Madrid, and (c) ten times more press than he ever had at United. Even when he wasn't "happy" at Madrid, Chelsea were ready to step in and pay him even more money!

If he'd learn his lessons better, he'd be a better player and England would be in the final.

Oh, what a life :) Don't mind me - I'm just jealous!

Well, looks like Bestie been hitting the sauce again - someone please tell this man not to get drunk and give interviews: "For a lad of 18, he is just incredible. I'm not known for flattering modern day footballers - David Beckham has never impressed me - but Rooney's got everything."Just an absolutely unnecessary comment...

He's telling the truth though. I remember Best speaking about Becks around 2000-2001. He said something like.... "Well, he can't head the ball, use his left foot, or tackle, but other than that, he's an OK player." :D
