I know it sounds absurd but Henry was a quick winger who could dribble at Juve... Bellion is a quick winger who can dribble... however he cant shoot... but seriously he is young and if he learns a few tricks from Ronaldo and passing skills from Kleberson and shooting skills from Ruud, (this is not to be taken seriously guys) hell, we will all be talking about who will be the next Bellion in the next 30 years...
Henry could shoot but couldn't finish lol... I just haven't seen enough of Le David to know whether he's got the skills or not. He misse a half-chance in the ARSe game and it seems like I remember him missing another sitter not that long ago. He's done well though, I think. More time. More time... Hopefully he'll keep getting time with the Reserves to help build his confidence.

Fun today with the Beck's rumors ("I did NOT have sexual relations with that young woman"): DB: When u start your job? (Rebecca left sports agents SFX in November)
RL: Sign contract next week. Can't stop smiling jumping around.
DB: Happy for you. If you have any jumping around to do come here.
RL: Where?
DB: At the hotel?
RL: Which?
DB: Same one as last time - but a lot of press today might not be a good idea. Maybe next time.
RL: OK will stop jumping and save it for when I see you and just keep smiling till then.
DB: OK, you need to save all that energy for ****.
RL: Is it ****.
DB: Very, very ****, thinking of your **** and the *****.
RL: Remember the last time your tongue was all over me I have never**** so hard.
DB: Now I am doing something, thinking about your ****.
RL: ******* your ****, feeling you **** deep down my ******
DB: Can't wait for that. When can we do this and where?
RLL: It's difficult. You know best. Me always free.
DB: OK we have to try. The above is supposed to have been a real text convo b/w Becks and the hottie (cut & pasted rom Beckham Watch (http://www.4thegame.com//features/feature/151849) lol - of course it's 99.999% likely that its bogus but funny nonetheless

United ban players from signing shirts (http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=afp-fbl_eng_pr_manutd&prov=afp&type=lgns)Manchester United has imposed an unprecedented ban on their players signing shirts, footballs or other such items in an attempt to crack down on a lucrative Internet trade.
The new policy from what is generally reckoned to be the world's richest football club was designed to stop commercial football memorabilia dealers from selling signed items for a healthy profit, the Guardian newspaper said Tuesday.
In some cases, the club suspects that dealers had been paying young fans to wait at the team's training ground to get items signed for later sale via the Internet.WTF cares? If a ten-year-old fan wants an autograph and you have to turn him down otherwise you won't play on Saturday (or will get a fine), then that is inviting people to hate your team. There isn't a ten-year-old fan alive that will understand why Roy Keane walks away from them and tells them he refuses to authograph the kid's kit.

Yeah, the boy is really raw... he has talent though, he has one or two moves that you dont see very often... and he is really really fast... he needs to work on his finishing, with his pace, we wont need long distance shooting from him, just clinical finishing, if he can become half as good a finisher as OGS he will one day score 15+ goals in the Prem because he is so, so fast...

I thought his recent goal (against Spurs I think, seems so long ago now :) ) was VERY assured. He received it on the left, cut across the face of the box and past the defenders and then cut it back inside the 'keeper giving him no chance whatsoever. That looked to me like an impressive finish from an accomplished player. Very reminiscent of Henry - fast, direct and confident!
A one-off, yes, but implying there may well be a lot of talent to come.

There you have it.
"Following discussions with Brian Kerr and Alex Ferguson, Roy Keane has agreed to make himself available for selection international games in the future."
....
In a statement released by the FAI, Kerr confirmed that Keane will once again play for Ireland and welcomed the prodical midfielder back into the fold. He said: "I am glad that one of the greatest players ever to play for Ireland has chosen this path. It cannot have been an easy decision for him but his desire to represent his country is immense."
"We met last week and discussed everything about his decision in great detail. He had addressed the issue with his club before that meeting and they are aware of his decision to make himself available for international duty with immediate effect."
The Irish manager added: "I look forward to working with Roy Keane. He brings quality and experience to a potentially excellent squad of players whose sole focus is the World Cup qualifying matches next autumn."
So does "for international duty with immediate effect" mean he is available for friendlies too?

Well, I hate to be the skeptic, as I do think Roy is great, but I'll believe it when I see him on the field with the "FAI" emblem on his shirt. I was in London when the whole saga of him quitting Ireland went down, and the various newspapers all seemed to have a new headline every few hours. Roy has always been a bit of a dodgy figure, so we'll see how it goes.

I'm so pissed - you guys all suck for letting those ARSe **************s take over the Arse jokes thread. That's like being at OT and letting them sing, sing, sing and not doing a fukcing thing...
Anyway... Some big rumors today:Manchester United will listen to offers for Diego Forlan and Kleberson as part of a rebuilding process this summer. (Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, The Times)
Arsenal and Manchester United will go head-to-head for the signature of Auxerre defender Philippe Mexes. (Daily Express)
Carlos Queiroz will not be manager of Real Madrid next season - even if they win the Spanish title - and could be set to rejoin Manchester United. (The Guardian)

I cant trust anything there but the sale of Forlan... Kleberson goes nowhere... we just got him and he's great. We also wont be going head to head for Mexes, Arsenal is in the poorhouse having spent all their allowance on Reyes. I cant see Queiroz at MU next year... maybe the year after that, but ok, so maybe this is a bit more feasible than Kleberson being sold.. i still dont think this stuff is worth anything...

If Kleberson is going to be sold, then he must've done something to get into fergies doghouse. Does fergie have a 15-16yr old grandaughter that kleberson is trying to get a date with or something? Because I just don't see any reason to sell him.

United move to lock up Rio to a long term deal.
From the Beeb:
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed talks have started with the England defender and believes he will play at the top level for another 12 years.
"We have been discussing a new deal with Rio, although it is still at the early stages," said Ferguson.
"Rio is only 24 and a lot of centre-halves do not really mature until they are 27-30."
Ferdinand, banned from playing until 20 September after failing to attend a drugs test, has been sorely missed by United in his absence.
Sir Alex Ferguson:
"His form for us has been fantastic and you do not realise how good a player he is until he is not there," Ferguson added.
"Apart from his fitness, he has a great reading of the game and he is going to get better.
"The sort of player and person he is, he can play on for years and years.
"Frank McLintock was still playing for Arsenal when he was 36. So I can see Rio playing at the top level for another 12, 13 or 14 years."
Reports suggest Ferguson has identified Ferdinand as a successor to club captain Roy Keane, who still has two years left on his United contract.
Ferdinand, who signed a five-year deal when he arrived at Old Trafford in July 2002 for £29.3m, was previously skipper at West Ham and Leeds.

Excellent, it removes the re-negotiation distraction during the offseason, shows confidence in Rio, helps Rio refocus his energies so that he's completely fit and ready for next season, re-energizes the squad, and probably means he commands less pay now than he would had United waited. Yet another great move by Fergie. With Keane showing signs of age, Rio is the one true difference-maker defensively for United, and locking him up is absolutely essential.

Scary stuff from Sky today:Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted he does not need another operation on his knee, contrary to advice from Norway team doctor Thor Einar Andersen.
The Manchester United forward has still to recapture his best form after returning to first team action with the FA Cup finalists.
"I will continue as I am doing now," said Solskjaer, in response to Andersen's comments. "But I will speak with Thor Einar, Lars Engebregtsen and Lars Pedersen about getting a programme that I can do in the summer as I get six weeks off then.
"No, an operation is not topical as things stands now.
"Am I not fit?
"No, I am not fully rehabilitated but there is no point talking about a new operation.
"That the doctor thinks that I should be fit so long after the operation is only his viewpoint."******** - so Ole is behind, eh? Not a good sign "For me, it is not interesting to take an operation now.
"I have spoken to Neil Wood (who is currently on loan at Burnley), one of the young lads at the club.
"He had the same injury as me and he said that he felt the injury eight to nine months later," he told Dagbladet.
"After that, it disappeared. The question is whether I should train with the football in the summer. I will perhaps do strength training and alternative stuff instead."

HUMMMM. Does any one else remember what happened to Ruud and his knee. Remember when he was still with PSV and Man Utd wanted him to have an operation? He said no and then shortly was severly injured. Not saying these are the same situations but it is worrying.
