When Abramovich took over Chelski, he promised this player and that player no matter what the price. The one thing he failed to recognise is that some players didn't want to play for Chelsea, or even move to The Premiership. He's ended up with hardly any of the players he said were on his 'wish list'. Money can't buy you everything !!

Reserves played a match last night, and you KNOW what that means....
Yep, Nardiello scored again.
2-0 winners over Wolves.
Kenny Cooper had an assist for our second goal, btw.

Time for Nardiello to get called up I think... I have never seen him play though but he seems to perform quite consistently. Can you describe him for me? Big? Strong? Fast? right/lft footed? good in air etc.?

Loaned out:

United striker Daniel Nardiello and defender Alan Tate have joined Swansea City, both on a month’s loan.
Having played for United’s reserves on Thursday night in the 2-0 win over Wolves, Tate and Nardiello begin their loan spell as of Friday 24 October, and are due to return to Old Trafford on 22 November.
Nardiello, who celebrated his 21st birthday this week, scored for Ricky Sbragia’s side at Moss Lane on Thursday evening. The young striker heads to The Vetch with reserves team-mate, Tate, 21, who had a spell on loan with Swansea last season.

I suspect this is preparation for Nardiello! He's going out for a month to get some real first team football, then coming back into the first team at OT just in time for him to impress and for SAF to spend some money on some defense!

I know this is a Man Utd forum but stupidity should not go unchallenged. Chelsea ended up with 95% of the players they wanted this season. Ding Dong! Does Veron, Makalele, Mutu, Crespo,Cole, Bridge,Geremi etc ring any bells. I suppose them 'useless' lot were just a bunch of 'make do's' Most of the players Chelsea didnt get, they were never gonna bid for, they where just fabricated stories made up by the wonderful people at The Sun and The Mirror. What an idiot.

Brown, Solskjaer back for Christmas
'Wes is doing fine. All his remedial work is good and he is probably ahead of the game a bit, but we aren't taking any chances. It will be Christmas time when he is ready to play again,' Ferguson told manutd.com.
'The same applies to Ole. He will be back by Christmas. He thinks he is ready now to start doing more, but no, it is Christmas for him as well.'

Well, what we DID control was how many attacking midfielders we bought/sold in the off-season, and we all know how that went...

Manchester United have reported Chelsea to the Premier League for apparently using Peter Kenyon's services when he is still under contract to the Old Trafford club.
Kenyon is currently on `gardening leave' from United who have yet to reach an agreement with Chelsea as to when he can start working for them as chief executive.
Under the terms of Kenyon's contract he has to give United a full year's notice but negotiations are continuing with Chelsea, who will have to pay compensation if they want him to start work earlier.
Not sure I've ever heard of 'gardening leave.' It must be an English thing. :D

Kleberson is supposed to be a central midfielder who can go forward well... Ronaldo might have been ready to play that role, but we certainly dont expect for Ole Gunnar and Scholes to be injured at the same time...
Not many non-Italian teams could do without their number 2 striker and best attacking midfielder. (Especially when recently they were both used in the midfield.)

Not that this has too much to do with Man U, but the title of this article on RvN still has me laughing. So I'm feeling the need to post it here.
