Yea man they had their chances to move back to NY and didn't take them. They should be called NJ.

Where in NY were they gonna built an 70k + stadium in nyc..there is no room..yes the west side stadium was the ticket...but we can blame some NYC politicians for that debacle.

They could've always built in the Shea Stadium parking lot. It's not as though the site is unfamiliar to them. But then NYCFC would probably have to build elsewhere.

Wilpon wanted the Jets in Flushing Meadow but that didn't happen. I know everyone thinks there is no room for a stadiums in NYC but you can guarantee that if the money is there they would barrel over a nursing home to build a stadium lol.

The plan after the West Side failed was to put it over the existing Worlds Fair - which has not been properly maintained in years - the Jets were also willing to replace the park land in Queens! That was denied! At the time of that plan, Wilpon said he would bring an MLS team in so the stadium was not just an NFL only venue
