I'm gonna do a list. Please add on with what you can think of. I don't think the momentus ocassion has sunk in yet, but these things have:

- We'll generate huge with all the merchandise and hype

- Our biggest pulling power in the marketplace in 8yrs

- We've laid the foundations for this team - who are incredibly young!

- Alex Ferguson is now, without doubt an unquestionable great manager. 13 league titles and 2 European Cups and 2 Cup Winners Cups 2 supercups and 5 FA Cups and 4 SFA Cups!!

- We now have to play in the world club championship in December :(

- And the Supercup

- 17-3...

err.. what else? :o

-The ability to pull some great players to Manchester.
-Real Madrid can just F*CK off :D
-There will be more hunger to repeat again.
-We finished something for the Babes.

- We're on the verge of European domination. We have the right ingredients and just have to add one or two spices to the mix.

- We've achieved phenomenal success with a squad that isn't near it's potential.

- Carrick has finally reached the summit, now maybe he'll be fully confident in himself.

- Unlike 1999, we now know what it takes to really handle European football, we'll be in another final within 3 years.

I can't think of anymore now. Probably will later. A new golden age beckons.

That's a great thing about this. The core of the team is so young. Anderson and Nani got to play a big part tonight (in the end).

I guess the WCC will interfere with the league etc, but it's something I look forward to. Watching early morning games from Japan is fantastic. It's the exotic kind of thing that comes with you being European champion. Hopefully the first game, against a weaker team, allows us to give players like Jonny Evans more PT.

Why would Ronaldo leave now!

Loved seeing Anderson come Jump on him While Ronaldo was acting all mature in his post-game interview.

I think this puts us as a very attractive place for players to come, espcially I'd expect amongst other young Players. We Truely have to be seen as an European Giant now.

Agree completely. It is just a different kind of experience that I can't help but enjoy.

Oh and DS you forgot Sir Alex's Intercontinental Cup.

The last one was an absolute disaster. I still shudder at Edmundo and Romario raping us and Gary Neville.

More concerned with how it will affect us in the league. Massive amount of games to be played on the schedule now. Combined with fatigue and a very hungry Chelsea on our backs.

Amdrag, you're right. Whoops. He's got a seriously huge trophy haul now. And 2 EC's means nothing can be said of him now.

Completely different tournament now though DS. Two matches for United, who will take it more as a vacation then anything else. Just have to build a nice lead to start next season.

And I'm the worrier! :D

It's going to be a distraction, no doubt about it. But we have a lot of fans in east Asia who will love seeing us play at primetime (I guess we're a little less popular in Korea tonight though...). And I love watching sporting events from the other side of the world. Let's hope we will have the likes of Jonny Evans and Frazier Campbell getting some playing time and resting our first XI, and that we come back as World Champions.

Oh btw, does this mean we get the little blue patch with the CL Cup and a 3 in it next year? :p

If not when do you get one of those!

Asian market takes a hit from Park omission and not pulling out Dong when it really mattered.

:D

Seriously , this will add to our Euro swagger , shut the Rentboys up and give the kids who played tonight much needed big match experience...

You've covered most of it but I'll add a few and comment on some of your points.

1. Paul Scholes has to feel vindicated and has a monkey off his back.

2. Ryan Giggs can retire with dignity knowing that he wasn't a non-factor down the stretch.

3. Whilst we've been dominant for 3 seasons we've let the league slip once and the FA cup slip twice while missing out on the final of the CL last year. However having won the biggest prize of them all - our respect and the fear factor teams will have facing us will go up. We've now won the league back to back and added a CL title to it. In the Abramovic era that's huge.

Going back to your points I agree wholeheartedly. Real pulling power now to get in that final piece. I feel like we can have anyone in the world now*.

With such a young team at our core we've got a lot to look forward to. The only new faces in the core of the team in the next 2 years should be a CF and a GK.

Anderson, Nani & Carrick all scored in a CL final shootout. They all now know they deliver in the most stressful of situations.

- Fergie's subs are still spot on. Nani, Anderson, and of course Giggs converted their penalties.

I doubt United will pay the WCC short shrift this time around; prize money has to be pretty good, no?

For me the most impressive thing is that this squad, which is young, and not (yet) the complete and real deal, manages to perform at such a high level. Two league titles and one CL title is an incredible achievement, and speaks volumes about the character of this squad, its commitment to the team ethic, and of course, the manager. It is dizzying to think that this squad can be strengthened and perform even better than it does now.

It is a testament to Sir Alex, for whom there can be no argument that he is as one of the all timers, particularly in modern management. Such an immense record, over such a long period of time.

It is also a fitting tribute to the Busby Babes, I had a tear in my eye when Sir Bobby received the medal and he was clearly very emotionally affected by the occasion.
