Has there ever been a better footballer in English football, over the pan of a career? Phil Neil and his bin-dipping shite can go stick it up their arses!

God bless you, Ryan Giggs. Is he going to retire on the highest note possible or continue playing for the club he loves so dearly?

He's won it ten times,
He's won it ten times,
That boy Giggsy,
He's won it ten times.

or

He's won it two times,
He's won it two times,
That boy Giggsy,
He's won it two times.

The best thing was watching his after match interview. He laughed at the idea of retirement. We have ourselves a new super sub.

What a 10 days he's had...

-Scored the goal that sealed his 10th league title while tying the appearance record

-Scored the penalty that won the CL while breaking the appearance record

It would be sad, but I can imagine this being it for him... what better way to go out!

IF this is it for him, then thank you for all the memories.

his trophy haul is insane.

Only Phil Neal left. And that's arguable considering his domestic success over Neal's.

IIRC, he eclipsed Phil Neal 10 days back in terms of pure haulage. I reckon he now has to be the untouchable player in English football ever, especiallyas the press-hype machine will get on this ufll-throttle for the rest of his playing days, be they done or a year or two from completion.

Plus to my money (although it was before my time I have seen a lot of that era of Liverpool) Phil Neal was more a Gary Neville, which while very admirable in itself, is a long, long cry from being a Ryan Giggs.

When Giggsy scored I knew Anelka wasn't going to score. It was just perfect. I'm so happy for him and for the rest of the players.

It was a great moment when Ferdinand told Platini that both he and Giggs were captains and Giggs just kind of shrugged his shoulders.

There is nothing left to say at this point. He's been huge for us even in a down year. And I have little doubt that his tutelage has proven invaluable to Park and Nani.

I hope this isn't the end of the road, but if it is, I wouldn't have a single regret about his time at United. And I doubt he would either.

There was definitely a touch of destiny as he came up to take that last penalty.

It seems official. The LOTW is not finished yet!

"A few people have mentioned me hanging up my boots but I'm still enjoying it. I want nights like this again.

"I'll go away and enjoy the summer and look forward to next season.

not to dampen this or anything but the BBC report said he's scored in every CL and PL campaign. but i doubt the penalty counts?

nice article and enough cannot be said about the man. there won't ever be another Giggs, probably no one even close

Good tribute documentary on Ryan by Sky. It's too short to properly cover his achievements, but still pretty good on his early days:
