While I am gutted and upset that we lost on penalties. Credit to you guys. Billy, you won your bet. Remember, avatar, sig, and topic of your choice for a week. See you next season.

And just as a reminder, fellow Chelsea fans let's air our thoughts on our own boards.

All respect to you guys, it was an unbelievably nerve-wracking game. Obviously could have gone either way. And I actually feel a bit bad for Terry. To miss with a bad shot is one thing, but to miss because of the turf sucks.

I thought about stopping by your board and saying so, but thought it would understandably not be well received right now.

Ah, as long as you're not doing a "Hahaha Chelski/Chavski/Rentboys lost!" that's fine. But I am happy at the least that we made it to our first final and not lose to Liverpool for the 90th time. Again, congrats on your double.

As I just posted on your forum...

Well played. Could've gone either way.

Seeing Lamps score for his team and his mum was pure class.
Full respect to Chelsea and their supporters for making it and exciting season in both domestic and European leagues.

Yup. Chelsea fans for the most part have been class.

I'd like to add that Cech is a really nice guy. During the red card fracas he was one of the players holding Vidic back and you could see he was concerned for him and not just being the random guy who gets in your way. He and Evra win the nice guy awards for the final.

Thanks for the thread and sorry about my rant about Lampard's mother earlier on this season.

Ah, we've all done something that was tasteless. Don't worry about it. Enjoy your win.

From Milan's official website:

"Manchester United, European champions for the third time in its history (the last time in 1999), followed Milan in the History Books of the Champions League. With particular reference to the nice words with regards to Milan in the post-game interview last night by Sir Alex Ferguson, but not only, our sincere congratulations to the winners in the Moscow Final, which must be extended also to Chelsea who arrived just a step away from the victory."
