Great. Hopefully we get some nice wine and cheese from the Frenchies for him.

But you do:D
More seriously, I wouldn't mind a deal for Cavenaghi in exchange.

Tweety said this week that he's flattered by the Bordeaux interest, so I guess a deal could be done once the Final's over. Can't be confirmed already, though. Not just before the Final.

Though there's no link, it's probably not far from the truth. There's been enough mentioned about it in the the last few weeks, Bordeaux just have to meet his salary demands. Blanc has been brilliant in his first year with them, and this will be a good experience signing for him.
Good luck to Silvestre - 1 year away from a decade here, always gave his all for the shirt even if he f**Ked up on occasion. A great crosser of the ball, and played well this past month and a half when called upon.

For a player that has been with us this long i don't really care. If he wants to leave the price tag shouldn't be the issue. I wish him luck if it's true...

Silvestre was a good player to rely on.
Evans is not proven. Not for us yet. Can't see us falling back on a player like Evans, even though he has experience with Sunderland.

I really hope that we do... he's done as well as could be expected. Playing for us is the next step

Hmm. Doubt we will be signing two defenders. I hope so one.
Forget Dani Alves if Sevilla want us to pay around £30m!

It tells me whether he decided to go or if it's a good price, whether the club told him to go. Whenever I recall a Silvestre interview, it's always of him saying how much he likes the club and everything, so I'd be surprised if he decided to end his time here.
Silvestre has been an excellent servant to the club for nearly 10 years, and if he does decide to go to Bordeaux, then I really hope he finds some success back in France..
