Is this irony or what? Nani was lucky to get through without his leg broken.
That is what shin pads are for. He is still a cry baby fro watching him play in the EPL. It would have been worse if the defender was coming from the other direction.

Watching ESPN Classic.
I am too, but you posting all the info and the picture so quick makes me think a copy and paste job. I don't care I'm just interested where you are getting the photos. I traced the photos back to a yahoo server, but they seem behind in updating their AP Wire photos.

Photos are from yahoo. You mentioned it earlier so I thought you were accessing them too.

If portugal had a CF like Torres/Drogba/Eto they would be unstoppable

EPL aside that was just a nasty play, can't believe the Ref. said he got the ball..

Who was the player who made the nice move to set up the 2nd goal? I saw Ronaldo had the run but that was a sweet turn and layoff for Meireles to score. sorry, watching on the internet so its all kinda blurry.
Anyhoo... congrats Portugal. I see no reason why you shouldn't be up there with Italy, France, Holland, Spain, Germany, etc. as the favorites for this cup.

I tend to think the commentators are going to give ronaldo a blowjob at halftime the way they're sucking up to him. 'The keeper knew nothing about the FK there and was nowhere near it' we're reliably informed.
Uh huh!
ITV? They said immediately after the replay that it was a great save by the keeper.
Nani is a crybaby. Overactor.
Why don't I draw some of your blood with a late, thuggish studs up lunge? I wonder what your reaction would be...

Can't be because they are flash files. Uncle is getting the photos off a yahoo image server, I am curious what front end site he is refreshing.

MOTM has to be decided between Moutinho and Bosingwa...
- Portugal played slightly above my expectations and should of won by a bigger margin.
- Deco needs to wake the ******** up as he was the one that comitted most mistakes...had a good game overall though.
- Surprised by N. Gomes, he hitted the bar!
- C. Ronaldo was influential enough...won't expect more from him throughout the whole tournament.
- Pepe needs to work better on his positioning...ironically that's what allowed him to score.
- Bosingwa was a ********ing monster and I'm sure MU fans are eating their hearts out...i've been saying for a long time that he's the best RB in Europe and he proved it today. And he was flawless...really tried to count how many mistakes he did...zero.
- Moutinho is certainly better than Maniche and made an amazing game.
- Simão was the best offensive player in the 1st half, deserves to be in the XI.
- Petit played well, nothing against him even though his positioning could be slightly better.
Very solid performance and a great start...

I was surprised that Deco wasn't taken out earlier. They didn't really need im out there in the form that he's in.
And judging by the performances of Portugal's opponents in this group today, the rest of the group stage should be a cakewalk for them.

Not trust me I agree with you. I actually had my shin bone broken on a similar play in intramurals in college. I was out in a full leg cast for 6 months.
I have had other times where other defenders have left their cleat marks on the back of my legs.

Portugal have a goal disallowed, hit the woodwork three times and still win by two goals. They are looking very strong. The main complaints people have in relation to Portugal is their defense and lack of a striker. This defense is much stronger than the one they had last time around and Gomes was a tad unfortunate today. As for Ronaldo, he hit forced a great save out of the keeper /post from the freekick, set up Gomes for the one that hit the bar and then played a huge part in the move for the second goal. He played a good team game today.

Been there done that. See my previous post. He over reacts. It hurts, but as well all know divers are Oscar winners.
Just to note when your shin bone does break it doesn't hurt initially. However, it does when you try to get back up.

Ronaldo looked ineffective when partnered with him down the right flank. As for Boswigwa, a lot of running but not much to show for it. He also lost Tuncay on serveral occasions. I would not consider him to be MotM. Good player but he needs to be more effective.

Cristiano was great today. Made a lot of runs. Only unlucky not to score once twice...like four times. If he had, everyone'd be singing his praises. You did good, kiddo. Chin up.

I agree about Bosingwa. Impressive match for him. I thought Miguel in the WC was amazing, but now here we have another great right back. Chelsea fans must be happy.
