Gah, can't wait for the countdown to be over! I'm so excited for todays games.
This should be really exciting, the Swiss starting the tourney off as hosts should be fun and the Czechs are still a good side. And this game is gonna be hugely important to the group: if Switzerland win, they'll already be in with a very good shot of qualifying and the Czechs will have the odds stacked up against them, if the Czechs win, it could be an early bye-bye to Swiss hosting euphoria. A draw, and it'll remain tight.
I think Portugal is the strongest in this group, and Turkey is weakest. The Czechs are better than the Swiss on paper but with Switzerland hosting, that can change everything. So this game could well decide who qualified, and I predict that the winner of this match will make it into the quarterfinals.
Who will the winner be? Tough to call, i'd guess a 2-1 for Switzerland thanks to home advantage. But we'll just have to see.
But yeah, looking forward to this one.
And good luck Magnin :)

Exactly my thoughts.
Not my thoughts:) .
Turkey has rising statistic at EURO Finals;
96 - zero
2000 -Quarter Finals
2008- (?) who knows whats gonna happend. I believe and hope Turkey will get more good result than 2000 Finals.
Lets just wait and see:) .
Anyway.
Good luck to the both team.

Opening ceremony? WTF?
I hoping for a Czech win today, purely due to the rarity factor of (probably) seeing a Reading player in a major tournament. I'd love to see Marek Matejovsky do well, just not so well that somebody buys him.

I like that the American commentator is giving a play by play on the opening ceremony.

Very good opening to the tournament thus far, a lot of attacking football.
