I can't decide whether to go to Sherlocks, Bagpipes, Fado's or the official Aztex pub...Juniors Grill and Ice House. Any ideas? :)

Some of my colleagues from work are going to Plucker's in Round Rock. Mmmm, football and wings....

BTW, a trick I learned from the guys at World Soccer Daily Report. If you're going to DVR/TIVO the match, make sure to record the show after the match, in the event they go into extra time or penalties. It would really blow to watch the entire thing, and just as it gets exciting, run out of your recording.

I'm saving my long lunch time for next Wednesday -- England - US!

Hmm, good question. In the past I've always enjoyed the atmosphere at Fado's for a big game like this, but I'll be coming from Pflugerville this time and Sherlock's or Bagpipes would be closer. Or hell, even Tilted Kilt. Might depend on how work's going and how early I leave.

My "I'm an Amerisnob" advice: Sherlock's. Give them a little love for their Aztex sponsorship.

Fado was standing room only. Actually what standing room was left was just outside the front door, where you could kind of see the tv on your tip toes. We went to Mother Egan's and it was as good as usual. Work downtown so Sherlocks is not really an option for this sort of thing.

Well, I taped the game and "The Worlds Strongest Man" after it. The latter cut off just after Ronaldo missed the penalty, so I still had to read about how Manure won it.
