Funny how the Romanians are the only confident posters in Group C.
Well, I thought Holland and France; my prediction was Holland make it at least to the semi, and possibly win it this year!

Wow, you're an idiot. It was one poster who was confident, dont stereotype just based off of 1 poster. OH! And Romania and Italy... not a doubt in mine or Toonsie's mind. (On a side note..) Of course this group is unpredictable. Seriously, there should be no surprises, because anything can happen.

Why shouldn't we be confident? We finished first in our qualifying group and haven't been to a major tournament since 2000. We're ready.

No offense taken, you thought you would take the Euro Qualifying group with ease so I don't take too much of what you say to heart. :p
Yea, it's from when he was elbowed during the CL game with Lyon and had his nose broken. That injury made him subsequently miss the 0-0 draw with you guys in Rotterdam.

I'm not denying you the right to be confident at all. I just think it's remarkable that while Italian and Dutch posters mostly focus on the problems in their side, the Romanians tend to be far more positive. Not just in this thread but also on their respective messageboards.

If you go by the big betting houses (BWIN, William Hill....etc) Holland isnt a favourite either, most have us finishing 3rd in Group C.
To win outright we are ranked about 6th or 7th.
Thats hardly a "big dog"
Suits me fine though, less pressure on us

As my prediction shows, I think Romania has every chance to surprise and get through to the next round... This group is a true and epic group of death.

Romania will go through.
I wouldn't bet on it. I know that anything can happen, but this is a very tough group and I think goal differential will be crucial in deciding who advances. I say Netherlands and Italy.

Holland is traditionally considered a big dog, ask anyone.
That's like saying England wouldn't be a big dog even if they weren't favored to win.

I agree, anything goes in this group. This group could arguably be the strongest Group of Death in Euro ever to this date.
